This was our first experience with Indian food and we chose this place bc it says it Indian fast food and we said what the hell let’s try it out and if we like it then maybe we can move up to trying other Indian food places!! And we were really surprised we liked it!! Bc I am super picky!! And I must say the naan bread is 10/10 and the chicken Marsala was good I wasn’t expecting it to be sweet but great flavors and the combo kabobs hit the spot!!! But the winner besides the naan was the Biryani rice bowl!! It was great for the amount of food and the price!! Thanks for the intro to Indian food.
Here I go again trying new things. Wanted a vegetarian meal and stumbled upon this eatery. Suggested by the cashier to order the chana masala. regret getting it hot was more spicy more than I expected. But it was nothing short of filling and very flavorful.
I decided to stop by this place because I was craving Indian food and it's right down the street from my job right off of 19th Street and North Shepherd. If you're looking for authentic Indian Cuisine this is not it!! think of it as fast food Indian cuisine. Even though the portions do look small, trust me it's very filling they have a variety of curries to choose from I believe it's around five or six curries you pick your curry you pick your protein and it's all reasonably priced between nine and twelve dollars They also have vegetarian options for those who would like a meatless option and they provide indoor and outdoor seating which is nice it's not the best Indian food in Houston however it does satisfy that quick craving that you may have so check it out
Nice ambiance.Food price is reasonable. We tried lamb biriyani and lamb kebab. Both were good. They gave me 10% student discount which is great ??
A great fast food Indian restaurant based in Texas. It doesn't quite have the diversity in richness of let's say a one-off Indian restaurant but in a pinch if you want something like saag paneer or any other American staples like chicken tikka masala then this is a great spot. It's conveniently located in the Heights.
For being a fast food restaurant, this is a pretty decent little place. The portions are very good for the price and the taste is on par with a regular dine in restaurant. Look forward to returning.
Some of the best Indian food outside of the Hillcroft area! They were super fast fresh and friendly, definitely looking to come back and try more dishes. We got the coconut curry with chicken and and the chicken kabobs plus u can’t forget the bread which we tried the naan and roti. The curry was well balanced the chicken kabobs were moist. Would definitely recommend this place!
Love this place. So many gluten free options, the food is good quality and the prices are really reasonable. The gluten free mango cheesecake is amazing! Not cloyingly sweet.
Great food. My stomach was very happy. I had Chicken Tikka Masala, Mulligatawny Soup and some Samosas. The soup was not as spicy as I am used to, but it was good.
I ordered Tarka Dal and Chana Masala. Chana Masala is usually made with a minced onion and ginger, with other spices like Pomegranate or Mango powder. The chana masala I had there tasted just like tomato base with some cumin and chili. No depth or fruitiness of flavor. Same with the Tarka Dal, which lacked even the taste of coriander. The Garlic Naan was spongy like a pancake and lacked flavor or normal Tandoriii oven Garlic Naan.
