Last night, we were looking for something different. We saw the Tandoori Kabob House on FM 1960, not far from Jones Road.First, the food was amazing! They brought us a salad before we'd ordered an appetizer. It was simple, but with a nice vinaigrette and a little container of extra sauce that was a little spicy, to add if we wanted. We ordered Mantoo as an appetizer. They are beef dumplings with sauce. It was really good! It's available as an appetizer or an entree.I ordered the Tandoori chicken with rice. It was very flavorful, and the meat was tender. It was more than enough to eat. A little on the spicy side, but alternating it with Naan with yogurt sauce helped. My husband had the Quabilli Pallow, which was a very flavorful, falling-off-the-bone lamb shank, covered in basmati brown rice. The Naan was fluffy and soft, unlike most Indian Naan. We had homemade ice cream for dessert.Second, this restaurant serves Afghanistan food. The lady who seemed to be in charge is from Kabul. She came to the U.S. 7 months ago, when Biden pulled all the US military out of Afghanistan and the Afghanis fled the Taliban.I regret I didn't get more photos, but we were hungry and the food was delicious! I didn't remember to get a photo until I was boxing up my leftovers. We'll definitely go back!
Found this restaurant by accident on the way to Houston premier outlet. We tried tandoori chicken & lamb curry ( Korma Challow). Both were very excellent. Quality and quality of food was good, price was very reasonable (when you compare the prices of restaurants in Guam, this is very cheap for the quantity & quality)Took very reasonable time to prepare and the service also was very goodOverall the restaurant and even toilets were very clean.
Good food and amazing chapli kababs .. must try this place for authentic afghan place I hope they don't charge for water and give some extra bread lol but overall it's good few dishes in menu not a vast variety but definitely try chapli kababs Kaquli pulao and chalo kababs very aromatic and delicious.
We have been to this wonderful place twice this month and absolutely loved the food and staff. The kabobs are excellent along with the Manto. A hidden gem.
Traditional kabuli food. Very good quality and taste at affordable price. Cheaper than many Halal food trucks. Staff is friendly and courteous. Interior is nice. Fast service. Must try chapli kebabs green tea Bolani. Will go again
Food was reasonably priced and very high quality. Service was fast and the interior was nice. I would have given 5 stars but we ordered water and the waitress gave us one bottle of water for 3 people. I saw everyone at the table next to us with glasses of water.
The smell was amazing walking in to pick up our food.We think they could do much better than what we got.Our meat was not special or plentiful.Over abundance of rice to cover for lack of meat was sad.But the beef kabob was so hard, we didn’t mind so much rice. The tandoori chicken was so spicy we didn’t mind so much rice. The dumpling appetizer was really good.We really enjoyed the bread. The little side salads were ok.
Excellent chapli kabab , chuloo kababs . Good food

Tandoori Kabob on 1960 and Jones Rd, we saw a sign and went to try something quick as to go - but I was surprised by the speed and decided to dine in.The lady was Afghani so I can tell it is authentic. Lamb was so amazing - it even beat Yemeni Mandi. Chapli Kabab was awesome with very humble customer service. Highly recommended
