I eat here all the time for many years. I love the fact they'll make you a custom burrito, which is delicious by the way, and I buy many tamales and they are always excellent and chock full of meat! Not like some skimpy ones you buy in the Walmart parking lot. These tamales are the best! I'll recommend it to anyone!
I ordered from door dash and what I received was absolutely disgusting. I ordered a dozen chicken tamales and a dozen pork tamales. I received what looked to be vacuum sealed pre packaged tamales that had been thrown in the microwave for 10 minutes and shoved in a plastic bag. There was water leaking out of the tamales when you tried to eat them. YES I tried to eat one just to give them the benefit of the doubt but it was literally some gelatinous dough with random dough juice leaking out of the leaf when you peeled it open. I am so beyond disappointed. The only thing that I don’t have to complain about is the jar of salsa that looks to be store bought. Ridiculous.I will be contacting doordash and some type of manager for a refund. I highly recommend everyone to go somewhere else where they ACTUALLY make the tamales A MANO not some scam.
Very disappointing experience. I was really looking forward to having tamales yesterday after finding them on Groupon...to my surprise... The shop has relocated to the other side of town...
A solid C-! I made the purchase on Groupon. My receipt on my phone was questioned because it "didn't look like the others". I pulled up my confirmation email and purchase order. I was met with scepticism. Finally given the tamales, I was shocked that the were frozen. After heating them up, the lack of flavor in the masa was apparent. The meat was just o.k. I am a tamale maker of 35 years and didn't feel like making any this year, so I was hopeful that I'd found a go to spot ...nope!
Do not buy on Groupon they will only give you frozen ones which is not stated on Groupon site .. they tasted stale like they had been frozen for yrs. Had to throw them away..salsa is also terrible tasteless.
Excellent food, customer service, and goods. I highly recommend it, especially during the holidays.
The flavor was good but they were falling apart..Please do better
We love this little gem. Their focus is mainly tamales with some sides available. The big deal for us is that they have excellent chicken (pollo) tamales. Give them a try.
Very poor quality food, it was absolutely disgusting. Not even worth the price $23.11 for a dozen and a jar of salsa verde which is also not good.
My Favorite Go To Tamale Place. Love Love Love the Mild Chicken, Veggie, and Dessert Tamales. These ppl work hard and I don't mind Spending a few more $ to help them out cuz their food is worth it!
