I came in on the 16th of July at first our wait time was an hour and half don’t recommend large group. However the food and spirit drink made up for the wait . I will be back. I had the sangria margarita, the enchilada dinner and for an appetizer I had queso with the beef…. Can’t wait to come again and see what the night is like.
Superica is one place that we continually come back to. In our opinion, these are the best fajitas in Houston. The meat is so well cooked and is the perfect balance of tender with some crisp on the outside. There is a butter sauce that comes with the fajitas takes them to the next level. While the fajitas are the main attraction, the queso, salsa, and margaritas are all very good as well.Of note, there is complimentary valet as well as a lot to the side for parking. It is often quite busy here so you may want to come early to beat the crowds!
My husband and I came here to have another small celebration with our surrogacy. His coworker suggested this place after we told him about El Tiempo. My husband didnt like the look of the place but I thought it was really nice. We had half a pound of fajita and it was delicious. Anyway, our waitress who was really nice but somehow charged us twice and didn’t tell us. I saw it on my credit card and quickly called the restaurant of the mistake. The regional manager called me back said that the final amount will be the correct amount. This only happened to me one other time but the waiter apologized on the spot and had a manager to come over to talk to me immediately.I hate this sort of scenario, because people make mistake but I felt the management could have handle it much better.
A previous El Tiempo regular, a couple visits to Superica easily shifted my viewpoint of the best fajitas in Houston. Similar price point, but much tastier and higher quality steak. The queso compuesto and house frozen margs are also incredible. A couple of margs and you’re good, may sneak up on you without an over sugary taste. Sometimes they offer blood orange margs which are phenomenal too. Be sure to use the online waitlist system to avoid a long wait - especially on Friday evenings! Brunch is also good - beware pancakes are giant! And served with a buttery syrup sauce
First off, we had a PHENOMENAL bartender/server (Jose). Well educated on the establishment and menu. He seemed to love his job there & that just added to the great atmosphere. The venue is supposed to resemble AZ. Parking lot diagonally from the place can fill up quick. Make sure you read signs for where you’re parking. Food was bomb. As soon as we sat, we got chips & dip served to our table. Prompt service. We had arrived just before 3pm & my friend got breakfast tamales with an egg. I got dinner with tacos al carbon with crispy pork belly. We both highly recommend our meals. We both enjoyed the frozen Marg. Pretty sure I was buzzed off one but had no difficulty sucking it down. Dessert was tres leches. We finished everything off. We got chips to go with salsa that were bagged in a bag so they wouldn’t get stale so quickly.. & we were ecstatic. Cannot wait to go back. +5 stars & up
Superica is one of my favorite spots in the whole city. Everything in the menu is great. The green salsa they put out on the table is really tasty; tangy and spicy mix together well. The steak fajitas are always tender and juicy. My favorite thing on the menu though is probably the beef rib. The meat is extremely tender and you really get that rich meaty flavor I always love about ribs. Overall great Mexican place.
Superica was descent. I had the chicken Quesadillas while my wife enjoyed the spinach enchiladas. Both entrees arrived hot and smelled really great. They had nice presentation and look very appetizing. The food tasted great. Nice and flavorful. I was however a little taken back that they didn't offer a burrito on their menu.
Service was excellent although as it got busier, we saw less of our servers and took a while to get our main course and then get our check at the end. Chips & salsa and delicious and unique! All the appetizers we ordered were very tasty- especially the classic queso! Overall, a cool spot with great food- we definitely will visit again!
Extremely delicious TexMex in the heights ! Came here for company outing and we had a ball. I had Steak Fajita plate. Drinks are strong too!!
Sunday brunch at Superica. Sat outside, which was very pleasant. Complimentary salsa was excellent. Drink selection was good and quality of our Margarita and Paloma were both very good. Interesting menu with many Tex Mex standards and a few variations. We ordered a couple of our standards, Chalupas and Fajitas. Food quality was good and we enjoyed the meal. Service was friendly but not super attentive. This may have been due to a large crowd, although I don't consider that an excuse. After all, doesn't a restaurant plan for large crowds? Hard to stay in business otherwise. Regardless, overall experience was positive if a bit pricey overall. Nonetheless, we had a good experience and would go back given the opportunity.
