I visited this establishment, exploring new things and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was so inviting. I felt comfortable and welcomed. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for vegetarian food. I now am on a quest to visit the other restaurants around the city. It was Saturday and I'm writing this on Thursday. I'm still enjoying the vibe to this moment. I would've given it 5 stars, but bottled water is just too darned high. ?Vegetarian soul food. Who would've thought. ?

The staff was not welcoming at all. No greeting or even eye contact. The menu prices were not up to date. The bean burger we came for was more than double the price we saw on here. We came from out of town and did not have transportation or else would have left. Ordered “Black Bean Sandwich” which had a picture of a burger next to it. Ended up getting a sandwich with toast. Staff argued that I ordered the wrong thing. Asked for bun and they said I’ll have to wait another 5 minutes. Food was mediocre. Not worth the money or hassle dealing with careless staff.

Black Bean Nachos are amazing, when it is busy expect a wait but it is worth it. I call in my order so it's ready. I love this place and all of the local item they carry. I have used many items. The Black Soap they carry works very good. They have fresh Sea Moss that is very tasty. This is my favorite spot.

One of the best tasting Vegan spots in Houston! My son doesn’t complete anything but he completed the Vegan Burger. I’m excited for them to showcase the Vegan nachos as the vegetarian nachos are already a hit! I also love the spinach and mushroom salad. I can eat it everyday. For them to drop in a food desert means they care about the community and I can get with that any day! Thank you for coming closer to me!

Today my husband and I visited the new Sunshine's Vegan Deli at 1202 Lockwood and as always we were pleased. It may be an additional location but the taste is the same! I am thankful to have healthier options in the hood. We will most definitely be back!

The staff attitude sooo unprofessional. I really support black own businesses but the customer service did it for me. The ladies don't want you to ask them a question without a facial expression that is obvious. A bit of advice greet your customers especially your new customers not the ones you greet because they are regulars can't be successful that way and there is definitely plenty competition in H Town..food was good but poor service and people skills. I won't be back..

Vegan Nachos Rock! I added that Spicey kale salad and you already know. AWESOME! I want that combo again. Be ready because the spice is kickin’!

Am a pescatarian, 6 month in. I have found it difficult to find a tasty burger, something with density and bold taste. Yeah I’ve explored many mainstream restaurants, which were ok, but the “Sunshine Burger”is the BOMB!!!!!!! I will be back soon to try other foods. I live on the Southside, but trust me it is worth the trip. The cook deserves a standing ovation.

First time there and the food was great! Lady was very helpful and courteous where I ordered my food. A little waiting but it was worth it and everything was perfect. Only reason I didn’t give the experience a five was the lady working with the smoothies. I didn’t even order a smoothie but she had a little attitude and was very sarcastic. I wasn’t sure if she had a bad day or was just rude but she made me want to never order a smoothie if I had to deal with her. She so happen to be by the area where food comes out and I asked her a question and she like roughly grabbed my bag and went to complaining and I actually had everything and didn’t realize it. She was not helpful and was like this not my department they got the orders wrong again. Yeah other then her I had a great experience! Plan to go back and maybe a smoothie if she not over there.

Was it good? Yeah. Was it worth $20 for a black bean burger? No. I’ve had way better for less money. Fried weren’t cooked all the way. Also the burger has a pound of cilantro. Like I said; food was decent, but not worth the price at all.
