Such a well known place. For good reasons. I would try to stay away from stuffing your face with the bread they bring up before your pizza ?? I was super hungry and then could barely breathe after. I wanted to try a Chicago style but ended up liking my boyfriend's normal pizza more. Still no complaints though the staff was great. Wait time is a bit long so keep that in mind, probably because they make the pizza fresh ??
My parents used to go here after work. Decent selection of beer and pizzas. Hanks is really good. The Italian sausage is really good they use. Sauteed spinach pizza is nice too. You have to check in inside the restaurant if you plan to sit on the patio, just a FYI. Also no reservations.
loved the ambiance! service was great. starburst pizza was amazing. cheesy bread was okay. Joe’s Pizza was kinda gross lol but overall great experience!
I ordered a pizza, cheese bread, and a salad. Enjoyed them all. Delivery was quick and the food was warm. No complaints at all. It’d get it again.
Service by Gavin was great! first time at Star Pizza, and un(fortunately?) under vegetarian diet but it was still so, so, sososososo so good ❤️❤️❤️ i got a Joe deep dish with mushrooms and i wouldn’t have had another pizza! :))
What an amazing experience. The staff are nice and amazing. They keep checking on you. They advise you about the portions. Food was delicious. Definitely coming back.Our server was Andy, what an amazing gentleman.
Star Pizza in the Houston Heights has been around forever. The city has grown around it-- a car wash on one side, a bridal shop on the other, and a supermarket across the street. But the food remains the same and very good. The interior has a vintage feel, with antique wooden tables (with new tops) and chairs. A dining area and a separate room for the sports fans. The pizza menu is extensive, but I opted for the meat lasagna with a side of vegetables (a side not on the menu, but they whipped it up special for me). My husband got his usual (at Italian restaurants): a large Caesar salad with sides of meatballs and sausage. Our server Chris was helpful and professional. He was the one who made sure I got the mixed vegetables I requested.
I lived in Chicago for a couple of years, and the deep-dish pizza at Star is as close to authentic Chicago-style pizza as anything I've found in Houston. It's particularly good with the whole-wheat crust, which has a lovely texture.
I love this pizza. Great deep dish. Great NY Pizza. Every time we come here we ask ourselves why we don't come here more often. Yes, we love 30 minutes away, but it is worth it. Great service. Friendly staff.
Our family was looking for a good pizza place and found out about it on Google Maps. The place DIDN’T DISAPPOINT and everything was awesome ??, also service is great and friendly. I highly recommend this place. It can easily become a favorite ?
