I visited the store few months ago and purchased various items and paid for them. Once I was in my car, I looked at the receipt and realized I was over charged for several items. I approached the cashier and explained my concern, he said the price tags are wrong and therefore I had to pay the price that he was asking me for. Today, I visited the store again, I paid for the items again but I immediately noticed he turned the screen off that show each transaction off. He scanned each item immediately, he manually did some other things that I was not able to see. Once in the car, I checked the receipt again and noticed I was charged for an item that I did not purchased. The item was black eyed peas Libya for $3.92. The other item that I was overcharged was sour Grape ground for $2.29 when the price tag clearly shows $1.49.I questioned the cashier about the first items and he said he does not know what happened. At this this I was very upset and asked him why did you charged me $2.29 when the price tag is 1.49? He replied that price must be for another items. I asked him to come and see the price tag and he refused.I DO NOT recommend doing any business with this place. There are other international market stores in the same neighborhood that we all can go. I indicated to the cashier that I will not ever do business with them and he simply said “it is your choice”. I returned everything and left the store. Please refrain from doing business with this place and if you do, please check your receipt as soon as you paid for your item.
I was driving to Al Madina market since it has been our go to for halal groceries. I spotted this market so I stopped by to check it out. It was almost empty, looked clean, cashier was so friendly upon greeting. In the meat section, the ground meat looked so red so that was an indication of freshness. Also picked the sausages to try since the ones from Al Madina give us heart burns and stomach discomfort. Looked the vegetables but looked old lacking the nutrients so did not bother. Picked up some drinks then headed to Al Madina to pick up some pita bread since theirs is our favorite. Well Souk sausages did not give us heart burns or stomach issues. The ground beef with some seasoning on the grill tased incredible. I guess we will have to part with halal meat from other stores.
It was so good . Comfortable and easy to do shopping. Thanks
Was visiting the city and just had to check this out because I loveeee seeing Arab stores!I saw a large variety of halal meat, a small bakery section ( didn’t have anymore breakfast items when I arrived ?) and overall, a clean store !!
In overall, once a week I visit this store to buy halal meat and some Russian/Ukrainian food.Meat is fresh and I would say price is OK, equal to Jerusalem and lower than in Phoenicia. From Russian food they have cottage cheese, bread!!!, cakes, mustard, different pickles, preserves, buckwheat. With this store no need to drive to Russian store.I had no issues with cashier mentioned in other comments. At least with me he is always nice, he knows even the name of my kid and always gives him candies for free. From interesting things that I have not seen at other stores - they have little carts for kids! My kid runs to this store just to do groceries by himself and to get a candy??♀️ When I got expired items, I returned them w/t any questions.4 stars because yes, they have some items expired, especially those on sale. Just look at expiration dates, but no questions to meat.
My new go to meat market. Fresh Halal meats. Fresh produce. Store is clean, organized and smells wonderful.
Good grocery store. Has a lot of imported products.
Great clean, perfect market. The gentleman working at the cashier while we were there gave us a great class on their products. That's customer service!
