Ordered the shinwari platter shown here, lamb tikka and hydro goat biryani. This place is awesome, they were originally an afghan restaurant and then bought out to be a hydro one. They decided to keep both cuisines on the menu, with the original chef on board! Superb customer service and delicious food. The chapli kebab was ? so so so juicy and tasty (in the shinwari platter). Next time will be ordering a bunch of those separately! Naans were amazing! Soft and perfectly chewy. Even microwaved well the next day.
Quality of the food went down, I took 3 Goat Biryanis which barely have any meat in it and the little meat what they put was not fully cooked.Price got increased in last couple of months a lot but quality went down. I have to return all the Biryanis, seriously disappointed with the quality. I am not going to go back again. If management doesn't improve on quality then definitely they will lose the customers.After taking back biryanis, owner of the restaurant change the biryani.
I was visiting Houston from the east coast where I have been searching for authentic Peshawari chapli kabab for three years without success. I was ecstatic to finally have authentic Chapli kabab at Shinwari!! And so incredibly economical too. Cannot wait to visit Houston again so I can have some more of it!!
Ideal place for authentic Afghani dishes, my favorite for Chapli Kabab and Karahi and specially the Yahani.
I couldn't stop my self for writing a review for this amazing place. Food was bomb specially biryani and afgani pulao. The hospitality and service we received from Rohit was inexplainable. Rohit was very welcoming and gave us the best service. I would totally come back to this place to try again the best food and best service in town from Rohit.
A few months ago, I would've given a six star to this place. But now the price as gone up and the quality has deteriorated. Still better than an average Indian restaurant biriyani though. Hope the owners do something about the decreasing quality.
This restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts and delicious dishes. Authentic and Fresh. We enjoyed every single bite of our meal. Highly recommend.

Wonderful dishes from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Hyderabad! I tried as many different dishes as I could and I wasn’t disappointed. The Haleem was out of this world! The owner was delightful as well!
This place is great!I used to go to afgan village whenever I crave, but they didn't have rice ? so I stopped here just to give a try. And it was amazing one of my very best places to go to eat now. Food was really delicious, and the service was awesome!Thank you ?
