Edit:I have never been to this restuarant. As I got it confused with a different establishment of the same name on Bellaire. Therefore I void any criticism of this particular place as I have never been here. Apologies for the confusion.
Came on Saturday afternoon right after Lunar New Year, not many customers. Restaurant seemed clean and atmosphere is quiet. No loud patrons, crying babies, or smoke in the air which happens too often at some authentic Chinese restaurants. However, the food is lacking. The meat has been soaked in starch for quite some time so it is tender but has also swelled up and lost its resemblance of true quality meat. Overall, the chef uses a good balance of salt, oil, and seasoning without adding in extra MSG, canned flavors, etc; however, the texture of the meat continues to stand out as bland and puffy. Server was nice and courteous. Price was ~15/dish.

Due to the pandemic this place is not busy. The food is reasonably good and service is okay. I think that liquor service or bar would be a good addition. Parking is a little bit of a challenge.
Not happy with my purchase. There are 3 dishes with spareribs. One is sweet and sour. The other one is Peking style sweet and sour. Third one is salt and pepper ribs. I ordered Peking style ribs. But I got sweet and sour ribs. Not gonna order takeout anymore. I can't see what's in my box until I get home.
other one, the Golden Dim Sum restaurant around the corner, more elegant inside, real china dishes. FRIENDLY service, just a few dollars more and well worth it, they do close early at 8 PM during the week.

Good southern Cantonese style food. Only had a few people.
Loved it. Every dish we ordered had just the right amount of flavor. I drink a lot of water and they left a pitcher for me :)
