Drove down to Houston for a small trip away from Dallas and stopped at out of our regular spots at Savoy. Have been coming here for awhile now and are sure to visit whenever we are in Houston. This time was no exception, the moment we arrived in Houston this was the first place we went for Lunch and got the Butter Chicken, Nihari, Chicken Korma, and Mint Margherita everything was delicious. The next night we just got back from Galveston and again decided to visit Savoy, as usual got Butter Chicken, Peshawari Chicken, and Haleem. On both of these visits Mr. Jawaid who was the manager, welcomed and really took care of us, he is a very hospitable and generous individual. I wish there was more management like him in every restaurant! On both occasions he gave us a complimentary items like an extra mint Margherita or some (hard to find) zarda (sweet rice) and ensured that everything was perfect. Another great experience at Savoy and hope to visit again soon next time we are in Houston InshAllah.Follow us for more halal food reviews on Instagram (@Halal_dfw)
What an incredible experience. I was visiting Houston for the first time and was recommended this restaurant. Sometimes when you go to authentic Indian/Pakistani restaurant the service will be bad or the restaurant will be dirty. But not at Savoy this was the most pleasant experience I have had at an Indian restaurant. The staff was super helpful, quick and attentive and everyone seemed to be working together. The restaurant was clean and the food was absolutely excellent. Highly recommend stopping at Savoy and getting some great food.
THE BEST INDIAN FOOD AND EXPERIENCE IN HOUSTON!!!!!! I was served by John and he was a wonderful host. Very attentive and provided all we needed. I will definitely be coming back to this place and bringing all my family and friends to enjoy. I am was very pleased with everything.
We often order food from savoy and hv not had so much of a bad experience like we did yesterday. My wife and i Order to-go on the phone yesterday ( 1 Sag Paneer and 1 Peshawari Chiken). The person on the phone told me my order will be ready in 20 mins.1st issue - the food was not ready for 34 mins.2nd and most important issue - the chicken peshawari ( ordered this for the 1st time) was kind of tasteless and FULL Of oil which was to me not necessary. Was shocked to see the quantity of oil. Please check the below picture. They definitely look into this. Thanks
Ordered Goat Biriyani and Chicken Tikka Leg online. The goat biriyani was good, but the chicken tikka leg was very dry. Though they provided raita, onions, and salad, still the tikka leg felt dry. The price is okay. The quantity of the biriyani was huge enough for 2 people which was convenient for us.
Ate here again 20 years later, Same fantastic food and this time served by Saleem Jeelani, what an efficient man, got our food on time and perfectly as ordered.
Hands down best BEST BEST halwa poori in Houston. John brother was too good and he made sure we got an excellent service. Highly recommended. They have won my all stars. Amazing food
This was the frist time dining at this restaurant. I was delighted with the food and service ! We enjoyed our food and experience..!! ☺️
I stopped by this week to try Savoy’s lunch special combo. This restaurant is located in Savoy plaza where you can get all your Paki / Indian food, treats and groceries near Stafford and meadows place.I opted to get their Lunch Thali special combo with Chicken biryani, Beef Nihari, Chicken Seekh Kabob and Naan .The restaurant was impeccably clean. They loaded me up with fresh onions, cucumbers , carrots ,tamarind chutney and raita. The nihari was decently good! . The chicken seekh kabob was also very tasty the naan and the onions with the chutneys were also good. Now The chicken biryani.... Not good. I like the long grain basmati rice. This one had short grains. Different style. Not the best biryani, but I can’t complain because no other Paki spot near sugarland serves biryani and nihari combo. For appetizers and sweets, I got Samosa and Churma. The Aloo samosa was spot on! Delicious and the Churma is something I had never tried it was Definitely delicious. Tasted like a sweat wheat and nut protein ball.solid restaurant they just need to work on their Biryani!props to ms rubi the server she is really nice.
