Famous for south Indian foods. Natu Koli (desi chicken) Biryani, Kal dosa, parota, veg fried rice are Delicious. You can see robotic servers in this restaurant. Easily accessible by Sam Houston Tollway. Lunch Buffett available on Saturday and Sunday.
We had kal dosa with mutton and fish, kal dosa is a soft dosa( crepe)and it’s a small and the one we had was big and not soft….
Very good food! Highly recommend the non-veg thali on weekdays and the lunch buffet on the weekends.Thali is similar to a tasting menu. You get 14 dishes, and you get rice and a roti as well. Lunch buffet has all items in the thali along with additional options. Attentive and helpful staff as well :).
Good buffet to eat in Houston and the best place to eat South Indian food. Friendly staff and good ambience.
Wonderful buffet Sunday at lunch. The manager was kind and welcoming. Food is delicious and plentiful.
Very bad breakfast and service!Came for breakfast at 9:30am and were one of 3 parties, and didn't receive food until 11:15am. The food was also pretty bad with over fermented batter, stale chutneys and extremely bad service. Our filter coffee came after 1:30 hrs and it didn't even taste like coffee. Their reason for delay was catering and lunch prep. The owner didn't even seem to care.We had to cancel all our plans for the day since we wasted 2 hours of our time here. DO not come here for breakfast.
The restaurant was COLD but the server was attentive and the food was 3/5 at best. We asked for the temperature to be reset and as far as we could see the server did try but it was COLD just as it was outside. We eat a lotta india food and nope this place will not be one of them. We ordered the kheema biryani and the onion dosa. When the food was brought out to us we requested a little more raita. Immediately the guy brings another tiny pot and says it’s vegetable korma try it it’ll be great. It was alright butwe’re still waiting for that raita?!
Ordered online. We ordered the Sangam Special Mutton Masala and the Special Masala Dosa which is served with different types of dipping chutneys. The crispness of the dosa was gone when it came. But that is not the restaurant’s problem. We should've gone fine dine in for the crisp dosa. That I understand. But the Mutton masala had a lot of spice aroma. I Didn't like it that much. In between 6 dipping chutney, 1/2 I didn't like at all.
Beware of ordering a dosa To-Go. I ordered and picked up a Masala Dosa w/ Idlis. The idlis, chutneys and sumbar were great, but the dosa was burnt and soggy. I called the restaurant to inform them of the dosa condition and one of the employees told me they would speak to the manager and call me back with a solution. They didn't! I drove back to the restaurant with my burnt soggy dosa in its' container and I waited at the front for help. I saw a server come from the kitchen with a nice crispy golden brown dosa for a dine in customer. I was shocked!!! I told the server, that's the way dosas are supposed to look. The manager comes from the back and I ask "can they remake my dosa?" and he agrees. The server comes back with a white square styrofoam container with my dosa folded, crammed and soft inside (because of the steam being kept in the container). That is the worst way to serve a dosa. They could have kept it crispy by wrapping it in aluminum foil. If you order a To-Go dosa from this restaurant, please check your dosa before you leave. If you dine in, rest assure, you're going to get the dosa that you expect. The 1st pic that I uploaded is the second dosa that I received. They gave me a rag. Crispy..where?????? The 2nd pic is how a dosa is supposed to look. I'm very disappointed :(
This restaurant is one of our favorites. The food is delicious southern Indian and one of our friends from England, where the Indian cuisine is very authentic, agrees that it is great food. He requests that we go there every time he visits. The service is impeccable and the prices are reasonable.
