Friends came in from out of town
Appetizers, cocktails and entrees were exceptional as always. Itâs nice to have a restaurant that caters to alternate dietary preferences/needs and consistently executes amazing flavor profiles. We had a bit of hit and miss on the desserts which was sort of disappointing after such a great meal but I would still recommend 1000%. Our family has always loved dining at Ruggles and I hope Ruggles Black concept is here to stay.
This is literally our favorite restaurant in Houston! Weâve been eating here for a solid 3 years, have enjoyed the paleo, keto, traditional menus and even followed them to their new location. We miss them on Sundays! But they are there every other day if the week. Chef Bruce is a true artist!
Friends have been telling us to go to Ruggles--a long ago favorite of ours. And it is better than ever! The salads are huge and great to share; the wedge salad was superb. Oysters with caviar were delicious, but the bread pudding is to die for! We have sampled bread puddings all around Houston and when traveling the world--this one is the world's best! So creamy and different with the raspberry sauce. Everything Chef Bruce does is a bit different and a lot better than other leading restaurants. Kudos to the chef! However, it is noisy and sitting outside might be a good idea if you would like a quieter setting. We went early to avoid a lot of noise, but this place is busy and noisy even at an early hour.
Excellent food and service as always. Very consistent. Extensive menu with something for everyone.
New location is outstanding. Great service. The Ahi Tuna appetizer is excellent.
The food was excellent! The angry shrimp and pistachio crusted snapper never disappoint!
The new location still has the charm of the old one. The food is still great. Highly recommend. Everything Iâve ever had has been delicious.
Superb Food as was the old Ruggles on Westheimer. My wife & I have been going to Ruggles Restaurants for 20 years. Always excellent food. Bruce is a fantastic Chef. Service could have been better. Our waiter was not attentive as he should have been considering we spent over $250 with friends. Prices have risen significantly & the entre & the amount of vegetables diminished to atleast 1/2 compared to what the use too be.when on Westheimer & Montrose.
Wonderful evening, delicious cocktails, baked goat cheese salad was excellent. Jose was our server, he's ð great
