I came here for the first time with my boyfriend, who happens to be Vietnamese, so we were both a bit nervous to try this place since it’s not considered authentic. We were definitely surprised when our orders came out, everything was fresh, super seasoned, and the perfect serving size. The wonderful cashier who I assume is the manager or owner offered us a complimentary “Vietnamese slaw” for our first time dining, which was incredibly refreshing and delicious. The lychee tea is also super tasty, not too sweet. We will definitely be back, thank you!

I’ve been coming here for years and never wrote a review. The banh mi are the most delicious I’ve ever had. My family all agree and were so surprised when they first tried them. The main thing to mention is they are consistent with all the food flavors. Linda is honestly the most cheerful hard worker boss I’ve ever seen & her lipstick is beautiful ?I would like say all the employees are wonderful and attentive. Edwin deserves a mention here, he remembers customers names and it’s the sweetest young man. I’ve always received free new items when I come to eat here. Thank you Linda for offering this to us! This is one of my favorite places to eat. When you come in it’s packed with people and when you taste the food you totally see why. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I hope they are here with us forever.

My whole family has been eating at Roostar on Gessner in Houston ever since they opened. It is always a great experience, both eating there and using Take Out. Service is prompt and accurate. Staff is friendly. Owner is hands on. Food is always fresh and delicious.
This place was recommended by a friend who lives in spring branch. I’m glad I finally stopped. Roostar is incredibly fresh and delicious. Their milk tea was semi sweet and refreshing that can be enjoyed in cold or hot weather. The chicken banh mi was made to order and came out on a warm loaf of bread. Perfect. The bulgogi fries were hot and perfectly seasoned but needed just a bit more sauce. No complaints about taste though. The pork belly fried rice was really good. However I do think if the pork belly were more on the fried side it would be the perfect side dish! I am still giving 5 stars as the food was hot, fresh, fast and in a very clean restaurant. Will be back!
A friend recommended me this place because of their pork Banh mi. I couldn't help myself but try their fried wings with garlic butter, I got the combo that came with wings and a salad. The texture of the wings was exquisite; crispy on the outside and tender inside. I wish they could have used more garlic because I could varely taste it. However mixing it with the salad made it all worth it, it was delicious. However, I do recomend using some of the side sauces they recommend to spice up the wings.As for their Banh mi I tried the pork one with egg and it was the most delicious Banh mi I have tried in Houston, the flavors melted in my mouth, I will definetly will come back and recommend it for my friend. The pork meat was tender and flavorful.Their Vietnamise coffe was sweet and nice, I think they used condensed milk for it.Best customer service ever, 10/10. They work really fast, nice attention to details and efficient service. The place was clean inside and has beautiful decoration.
The food was really filling and delicious ?. The chicken box is my favorite and my husband, loves the wings. The service was excellent. Both the girls who work at the register give top tier service. I didn't get their names but one has a stone necklace.
