Great doughnut shop. Coffee is good, they keep real half and half around and their kolaches are good. Mel the owner is super friendly and makes me feel very appreciated every time I come in. Would definitely recommend it.
I grew up on Mel's donuts and kolaches. After leaving the Houston area for college and a career, I've never found a breakfast spot that can come close to Mel's.It's nearly impossible to find anything resembling a Texas kolache outside of Texas, and donut shops with the sort of variety you can get here on the Texas gulf coast are rare.And you won't find any other breakfast joint in the world that offers the enthusiasm and customer service that Mel does. The man deserves a Michelin star.Unfortunately I rarely visit the Clear Lake area these days - but when I do, I stop by.
Just spent “only” $29.00 in day old loaches and pastries…so I don’t recommend going before 6am or they’re not ready for you
Mel is great! We get kolaches, Crescent sandwiches, and donuts.
Highly recommend this place. From the BEST DONUTS!! to the AMAZING STAFF!! My daughters favorite stop for donuts. The owners are very sweet as well.

This place is amazing. Mel knows many of his customers by name and often has their order ready before they get to the counter. You can tell he loves serving customers even more than making wonderful donuts and kolaches.
I'm actually still in the parking lot losing my mind about how good this place is. Their jalapeno cheese koloches and glaze donuts are something to die for. The people who work here are some of the friendliest as well. One of my favorite places in all of Houston.
