I dont know who all is rating this place but they are LYING!! This place was TRASH!! Food was extremely disappointing! Everything was unseasoned... the buns on our burgers smelled funny... the lettuce was brown and disgusting! The shrimp i had was fried so hard it was hard to chew!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! Go to a real burger place!!
Poppa Burger is in old fashioned classic burger from the Heart of Htown. With 60 plus years and open 24 hours. It's a must try. They have an extensive menu from Shakes to Tacos to Hot Cheeto pies yes they are delicious!!
Quick and easy, nothing beats Poppa Burger, especially after a night of drinking. They have a significantly larger menu than just burgers, so don't let that scare you off. It's CASH ONLY so don't show up with just card because you'll be turned away, but it's relatively cheap so don't worry about spending more than you expect.
Amazing... amazing!....i came here years ago, my sister brought me. I fell in love instantly!..My daughter Daisy had a day off...and invited me to burgers...boy did I get a surprise!..I had the best burger ever.! It's a very put together burger... doesn't sog out.. everything stays crisp! A taste you'll crave!

Come here every now and then with friends, best place to go late night when nothing else is open other than generic Dennys.Recently past year they've raised the price a good bit making it about $6-9/person to eat a hamburger meal here when it used to be fun to get items at economy prices to try them out.3 stars because although burger is good, reminds me of HISD cafeteria lunch burgers, don't know if it's the bread.
Great place. Have been coming here for the past 3 decades. Food is great. Prices are competitive. #9 is my favorite. Add some french fries with ketchup on them and you're golden.
Parents brought me here as a kid, I brought my kids when they were little. Still come by when I can. Cash only ... but its inexpensive & lots to choose from, tacos, burgers, fried burritos, nachos..
