Piada is a nice place. After passing it on Memorial Drive literally dozens if not hundreds of times, I decided to go in, and I'm glad I did. Piada may be commercial, but it doesn't feel jaded or hyped.Upon arrival, I was assisted by a very nice food preparer who answered my questions about what's available - congenial service, to be sure. My order was a pepperoni pastry stick (not the best description, but delicious, I promise) and a small bowl of penne pasta with various toppings. In addition to regular Pepsi products, they have another fountain tap featuring Piada-branded flavors like orange and berry sodas. The orange was tasty, sort of like an Orangina if you've ever had one of those. The decor of the place is pretty - high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows facing Memorial Drive, with stylish, spacious seating and fixtures. This is a place you could bring a date if you want something nice, but not overly expensive. My personal preferences - and why I didn't give a full 5 stars (I wanted to give 4.5, but that's not possible and 4.4 is the average rating anyway!) - were for the music and the sauce. The music playing over the sound system had a bit of a "bistro/techno" vibe to it. In and of itself, that's not a deal breaker, but so many businesses seem to default to that as background music these days. The origins of Piada are the founder's visits to Italy. Why not Italian standards? Or jazz (smooth or classic)?Regarding the sauce, the pomodoro was good also, but a bit on the sweet side. I prefer my sauces to be saltier. Again, not a deal breaker by any means, and many of you will like the pomodoro, I'm sure.If you go to Piada for the first time, I suggest starting with a small pasta bowl - the serving size is quite ample. If you find that doesn't satisfy you, the regular serving will be more than enough. And don't forget to order a pepperoni stick - I plan on making a meal of several of those the next time I go. I will try the actual piada wraps on another trip.I enjoyed the food so much, I had to say a happy word to the chef, who was actively at work - and, apparently, is the general manager! Well done, sir! Abbondanza!
legitimately great. love spicy food, so the spicy chicken was a must. Penne pasta, alfredo sauce and spicy chicken. definitely different than what i came in expecting to eat, but very much enjoyed it.ya’ll should do bread sticks or garlic bread too. just a thought.
Tried Farmers market and Basil Pesto, they are decent felt the quantity is small for the farmers market that I had to go for another dish ? Wish they had some protein option for vegetarians as well.
If you want a unique place to go for some delicious food, go here! It's Italian street food...what's that? Well, it's a unique combination of flavors in a bowl or on a large tortilla wrap. My boyfriend and I had pasta bowls and could not have ended up with 2 more different flavor profiles if we tried. Both were so good! Definitely going back again ?
I had never been, but recently moved to the area, and was craving something JUST like this the other night. I was glad to see they were open until 10, because I did not know that I was hungry for something different until almost 9:30. I got there at 9:45, expecting them to be ready to close up shop, but to my surprise, Sierra greeted me warmly when I walked in. I told her I had never been there, and told her what I was thinking, and she gave me her recommendations. I ordered the wrap with steak and avocado and it was amazing. The steak did not disappoint. I asked her if it was tender and it was! Delicious. I thought I was going to be able to save some for the next day, but it was too good. I ate the wrap that night. Now, I did order the carbonara pasta with chicken and asked for the normal toppings and a little green onion. Both Sierra and Eunice were happy to oblige and give me the little extra side things I asked for. Also, Eunice and I had a very pleasant conversation before I left. They both made my night! The pasta was great, by the way- it was plenty for me to eat the next day and a little the next also. Great spot! Will definitely be back!
Fantastic place if you want Italian food on the go. Also gun friendly, I've walked in with my drop like holster and I still received exceptional service. For some strange reason every time I use a reward, I have their computers freezing up and my checkout time has been as long as 10 minutes before, but they are very nice and courteous and I have no problem being patient when this happens. They are very knowledgeable about what they serve and the food is always fresh and taste great! They are very knowledgeable about what they serve and the food is always fresh and taste great!
I loved this place. A friend recommended it to me and I fell in love. The bathrooms are VERY clean. The staff are welcoming and kind. The food variation is amazing and can create different combos. There is something for everyone. (esp. picky eaters) I love the carbonara pasta with the hot fried chicken with all of their cheeses. AMAZING.
Always on point. Everything is fresh. Most of the time they are low on staff and that's why it takes longer but the food is always fresh and great tasting. Love the calamari, best meatballs in town and great chocolate chip cookie.
We love Piadta. Staff is friendly, space is clean, and food is great. Priced right, student discount especially.Only saw one roach in the restroom a few months ago but that just means this place is legit.
