HIGHLY RECOMMEND! FOOD WAS SO TOP NOTCH! It was like nothing I’ve ever tasted before! The waitress was amazing as well 10/10. Be sure to read the brunch rules!

Great ambiance. Black owned. Very spacious with multiple mingling sections & ample seating. Cozy and inviting atmosphere! Great DJ with nice music! Most of the food was good, especially the grits & fried lobster. Wings were overcooked, & didn't taste fresh. Loved the waffles. My frozen margarita was good. Nice art work & decor! They charge $10 for parking in lot, but we got lucky and found a close nearby park on the street.We were disappointed in our waitress, Tatyana - she never checked on us after we got our food. We requested syrup & butter for the waffles & had to have another waitress track her down to remind her - meanwhile waffles were cold by the time she finally responded. My request for a 2nd margarita also required me tracking her down to remind her. After finishing our meal & waiting 35 minutes, we once again had to ask another waiter to find her so we could get our check. Mind you the restaurant wasn't super busy & it was very noticeable how other guests with other waiters were getting checked on & better service!An automatic 18% gratuity is added to every check, which I didn't mind, however I felt like our waitress was slacking simply 'cos she knew she'd get an automatic 18% tip - even if she provided poor customer service! It's kinda sad that she made no effort to earn any extra gratuity, and she gave no reasonably expected good service!An Entertainment fee of $4 per table (to cover cost of DJ) is added to every check. (A table of 2 will see this as a $2 fee if the check is split). Our checks were $54 and $97 (about $150 for two).Loved this place & I may give them another try, however, if I ever return I will certainly request a different waitress other than Tatyana.

I love the food and the atmosphere!! A whole vibe with the DJ!! I love going for brunch on Sundays!! My favorite dish is the shrimp and grits!! The fried fish is amazing too!! And let’s not forget the mimosas!!

I visited this establishment 4/2/22. This was my first time but not my last. There is two sides to this place, a restaurant containing a live DJ and a lounge to relax, eat and talk. They also have a patio.I dined on the lounge side of the building. We were escorted to the bar area by the host. I did not get her name, but she was very informative and professional. I appreciated that..., As we sat at the bar and waited, the bartender acted as if we were not sitting there. His name was Jay, I was sure to get his name before I left for certain. The whole time we sat at the bar he never asked or assisted us in any form or fashion. Insultingly, we watched him accommodated patrons sitting at tables. Jay went to their tables, leaving the bar. Jay was asked by another employee about taking our order, his reply was " I'm only one person", then moved forward to take other individuals order before us, and might I mention, we were there far before them. The entire time we were there he was rude. We stopped a polite and welcoming waitress as she walked by, by the name of Miaya. Miaya was very professional. She made our experience very positive. She answered questions and she was very descriptive. Thank you Miaya for turning things around.I ordered Catfish and Grits with potatoes. It was delicious. The music bled a great vibe.I will not I hold Jay's actions against the restaurant.I enjoyed this restaurant overall. I give you a thumbs up ?.

We came on a Saturday evening for dinner which stated at 5:30. They don't have reservations, so if you're going, go for 5:30 on the dot. The food was average, I have no complaints. The only complaint I have is that they don't devein their shrimp. Our service was okay; a little slow esp for the place not being packed.

Very dissapointed with today's experience and food. I looked at the online menu before I arrived as I usually do to see what I would probably eat. I seen on the online menu, champagne bottles for mimosas are $10. Cool. When we arrived, the manual menu that was handed to us also stated the champagne bottles for mimosas were $10. When I ordered the champagne, the bartender informed us that they are $15. Wow. I told her that is false advertisement because it's says online and on the menu u was handed they were $10. I told her that was unacceptable and the owner, manager, etc. need to correct the price online and on their restaurant menus because, again, people look at the menu and see one price but now you're telling me it's more. Not right. The chicken and waffles were bland. No flavor in the waffle and it was cold. Chicken wings were small and not seasoned at all. Not working $21. I have came here before and the food was pretty good. I don't know what happened today. I support my BO 's but most of these places are so unorganized and active you shouldn't complain about their product if it not good. They expect you to pay high prices W/ gratuity and not complain. Don't tell me "sparkling wine" is $15 when I ordered the "brunch mimosa" that's priced at $10 on the online menu and on the menu in the restaurant. This affects your bartenders and waiters potential tip, even though yall automatically charge an 18% gratuity whether service was good or sorry. I will not call because you are not going to compensate me because you didn't while I was here in the restaurant besides give us a "free" glass of champagne, and technically, that equates to 0.50 cent considering a bottle of Wycliff( the champagne that Phil and Dereks serve) is only $4 at Specs. I worked in the food/beverage industry for over 18 years from Waffle House to Upscale fine dining. I could probably help yall get it together, because this AINT IT! GET YOUR OPERATIONS TOGETHER PHIL AND DEREKS! ?Get it together my black folks if you expect folks to spend $21 for Chicken and a waffle!??‍♀️
