Charged 18% gratuity without my permission and charged extra cost that must have been in fine print on top of restaurant week menu. My bill came out 50 percent more than what anticipated... This was my 2nd visit but don't think I would return ð ð¤

Horrible experience. I will not be returning. And in my OpenTable notes I put that it was my birthday and that I wanted to receive an exceptional experience! That of course didnât happen. It was like a nightmare, from the server, to my food, to the end of the night. The only thing that calmed the situation was the level headed manager at the end.
We made our reservations (for 6) a few weeks early. We were seated in the bar area and not offered an option of preference. It was not the same experience as the dining room and would have, at least been asked if we had a preference. A little disappointing and not the customer service expected from Perryâs.
Had a bad experience with service and cold food issues in mid June. Wrote a review explaining my experience. Manager reached out and was very nice, apologized and provided a gift card to return. I returned last night and had a much better overall experience. Although, the service was still on the slow side. Received bread within 10 minutes of being seated that was a bit slow, but tolerable. Another 10 minutes though to receive water and finally another 5 minutes for a server. Once we ordered our meal, the food came out in a timely manner. The pork chop, although mostly delicious, was overly dry in the center. Bread, Wedge salad and steamed broccoli were all delicious.
Everything was pretty good until we got to the lemon bar which was disgusting.
Perryâs at Memorial City never disappoints. Great food and great service. We were seated right wand were greeted with a courteous server. We enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back.
Our waiter was amazing and the food was on point! A true treat and my first experience there. I will certainly be back!
Overall great experience and excellent food. I was a bit shocked to see that for two people you added in 18% gratuity. Normally this is only done when 6+ people are at the table. I always tip 20% however, it made me just want to leave it at the 18% the restaurant added without giving me the chance to tip on my own.
A friend and I met there to celebrate our birthdays and Houston Restaurant Week. Service was outstanding and the food delicious. That was my first time at the Perryâs location and I enjoyed it very much.
One of the best meals we've ever had! The Caesar salad was incredible, steaks perfectly cooked, drinks creative and delicious, and dessert the perfect way to finish our celebration. Thanks so much!
