This place has the some of the best items: pepper twin chicken, pork over the mountains, and the ginger fish. My husband loves the finer fish and the pork over the mountain while I love the pepper twin chicken. They also have an amazing lunch deal for $10.75 that I want you to take advantage of! It is affordable and delicious! I always get the pepper twin chicken with spring rolls. The service is the only downside. This place is severely under staffed. If you order to go and they tell you it is about 10-20 mins. Add another 10 minutes and you should be right on time.I love this place.

You guys lost $20 today.Walked in to your place mid-afternoon today. Empty dining room. But no one to seat me. "Please Wait To Be Seated" reads the sign at the door. But for how long?Bamboo on Montrose got me in right away. No, I don't work for them. You guys gotta watch your front door!

Terrible food. Will never eat there again. Not Chinese food, can not even consider them American Chinese food. Every dish we ordered was terrible.

Used to be good but food quality has dramatically declined: I came with my Chinese mama my freshman year and loved it. The waitress was amazing, quickly swapped out my dish when I ordered something I didn’t like. Am a senior now, Ordered UberEats recently for the pepper twins chicken and it tasted so terrible. Recommend Mama’s kitchen or cooking girl instead. So disappointed, Pepper Twins used to be my favorite place

Where do I begin? Pepper Twins was definitely one of my go to places for Sichuan. I frequented the grand Parkway location in Katy and the Kirby location. Today from work I ordered from Uber eats to pick up from the river oaks location and not only did the price go up by three dollars for their Pepper Twins chicken, but the quality hit rock bottom. The chicken was 30% skin fat and gristle where is it used to be clean cuts of chicken in the past. I was so shocked, and at some points it actually tasted a bit like rabbit and not chicken. I guess I will have to go to Wula Buhuan and Mala going forward. So disappointed! I will never be going back the food was horrible.

Expensive but worth it. I ordered togo which I did not think the food got the same treatment as getting it hot and ready at the restaurant. The staff was super nice and kind. The mountain hotpot really needs atleast 2 people to eat it and it got a spice to it that I really enjoyed.

I ate at the restaurant on West Gray with a friend, initially pleased with good food and decent service.Warning: If you order the chicken soup while the restaurants empty at lunchtime you might be in for a rich surprise. Apparently, the staff threw dried dates, almonds, and apricots into my soup. They were covered by a thick broth in the restaurant, so I didn't expect to see so many when I brought it back home. (I added a lot of complementary rice to soak up the broth while it was in the container. The chicken spare parts and apricot pieces are shown exactly as they were served to me).

Clean restaurant and fast service, but needs to give more food for the price.

Disappointed. Don’t market your mapo tofu with ground pork if there isn’t any pork in it. If I wanted meatless mapo tofu, I would have just gone to Trendy Vegan where the portions are much bigger and tastes the same.

I got the chicken fried rice. It's super delicious
