Large portions of fries and the burgers themselves were large and juicy too! Great spot to grab a bite over a layover for hardly more than you’d pay for a boxed sandwich and chips somewhere else. The shakes looked really good too, we were just too full from the burgers to try. Next time! Also a plus: the staff was friendly too!
Not a lot of great choices at the airport but this was a tasty option, if you want a meal that will stick with you this is the spot, burger was plenty big and cook to perfection, felt messy used a lot of napkins, had mine with bacon which you can never go wrong with, i felt it was a bit expensive but probably well worth it, so if your waiting to catch your flight its a good place to stop and eat, service was quick and great
We love the Pappas restaurants so we were delighted to see that there was a Pappa's burgers at the airport. The employees there are wonderful. Immediately they asked us what time our flight was leaving. It was one of the last flights out that night so it was fairly quiet at the airport. Our burgers were made to perfection and the fries were also great. We weren't rushed at all. We would definitely eat here again next time we have a layover in Houston.
Convenient spot to grab a bite after an early morning flight. Solo traveler so I was promptly seated at the bar. David was a wonderfully server; pleasant & accommodating. They were ONLY doing scrambled eggs but the breakfast sandwich was well prepared & tasty. I didn’t eat the bun but if that’s your thing you’d enjoy how toasty yet soft it was. Libation to go with no problem. Plenty of seating available for larger parties.
I was stuck in the airport on a 3 hr layover. Got hungry and wandered in. Great burger, great fries, great service. Very good airport food which is usually lousy. Next time I'm in Houston I will visit them again
The fried pickles were delicious perfect muc of salty n tangy the ranch added the perfect touch. Burger was seasoned well and cooked perfectly definitely not bad for airport food at all! The drink was good too I had them add some extra liquor off top so that probably helped ?
Best service in food in many airports that I travel to. I was impressed with the service by Chelsea as well as the hostess Trinity. I heard a manager came out and asked somebody how they could help with their gluten-free diet. Later the cook came out to make sure everything was okay. Thoroughly impressed for in the restaurant let alone a restaurant in an airport. Keep up the good work!!! I also love that they asked what time my flight was so they could make sure they accommodated my schedule. That is new and refreshing...
Awesome service. Good sized portions. I had veggie burger, sweet potato fries. Highly recommend it. Made from their recipe. Cranberries, leeks, oats, and other ingredients. I enjoyed.
I usually try deferent bbq spots when i am in Houston but i wanted to check out Pappas Burger due to the really good reviews and pictures. There are only about 8 specialty burgers which tells me that they perfected the recipe. They do have a chicken burger and a vegan burger just in case beef is not your choice of food. The price of the burgers vary from $14 to $18 which includes fries. I dont know this area that well and i cannot say if this is too much money.Let’s talk about the appetizer. I asked for chips and salsa and they did bring me a lot of chips and not so much salsa. So, if i was the owner, i would reduce the amount of chips or increase the amount of salsa. Not big deal! Now, lets talk about the burger and french fries! The burger patty was perfectly cooked and season but it had two main issues. Number 1, the bun was undercooked and absorbed all the moisture from the veggies and felt like fresh dough and not a bun. Number 2, the onions were cut too big and not caramelized and the taste of fresh onion overpowered the whole burger taste. My tastebuds forced me to remove the onion from the burger which was half of the burger. Keep in mind that I usually order the most popular item on the menu. The french fries were ok and felt more like the frozen french fries. In summary, i will come back to try other items on tye menu but i clearly can say that this is not the best burger in Houston.
Frequent visitor. Consistent good service and food. Today I noticed I was over charged for my salad. Menu is 7.25 + 6.55 for chicken. Last I checked that doesn’t add up to almost $18. I did bring it to the managers attention and he offered to refund. I was in a hurry to get to my flight but as I explained to him there’s a discrepancy either in the menu or in the programming of the items in the system. I see this as dishonest, and if they are over charging every tracker 3-4$ they are making a mint. I told him again that I frequented regularly and will keeping an eye out and following up. Simply put check your bill! Does it add up?
