I got off my airplane from Meridian, MS and vowed to find the Pappadeaux and eat lunch. I boarded a tram from terminal B to Terminal D/E and went looking. I finally found the restaurant on the second floor in the E terminal. While the food in the restaurant didn’t compare in some aspects to off airport properties, I found the shrimp po it to be excellent. I loved the condiments that included slaw and a really good dressing. There were numerous shrimp and they were good! The andouille sausage and seafood gumbo wasn’t nearly as good, had a couple of shrimp, some sausage and a roux that was just … well, extremely dark and not that good. The service was okay. The restaurant wasn’t all that busy at 3:50 pm on Saturday. My recommendation? Skip the gumbo, it’s not worth the price and eat a po boy. The gumbo was served with crackers…never seen that in a Pappadeaux before and was in a smaller sized bowl. Nonetheless, my lunch was expensive but hit the spot.

These people know how to do seafood. This is where you go when you love seafood and pull out all the stops. It’s king eating. We went for my nephew’s graduation. Great place to celebrate. It’s top dollar. We paid about $35 a $40 per person including drink and tip, it was excellent. The SHRIMP & CRAWFISH FONDEAUX is from God and it’s just an appetizer. I had to fight not to get filled up just from that. The fondeaux has a cheesy base so it’s heavy and it’s chocked full of seafood - absolutely amazing. So for my main course, I went for the Cobb seafood salad with bacon, shrimp, crab meat and lots of veggies - it was a huge delicious salad. I was so pleased I didn’t make it to dessert.

I had a 3 hour layover at Houston airport. This restaurant provided a place to sit, and I ordered a fish dinner. I ordered the trout and crab, and it was amazing! I was able to get a good meal on 14 hour travel day, and it was an awesome dinner, and the price was quite modest! The ambiance is nice, it was a little bit congested for space, but for an airport restaurant, I have never experienced better!

This is an awesome restaurant and a wonderful surprising experience. We didn’t want fast food and had a few hours until our flight and decided to try out this restaurant, so glad we did! The waitress was wonderful and gave great service! I had the trout meal, it was the best trout I ever tasted and as a gal that grew up in the northwest and loves to fish that is huge compliment, I was able to swap green beans for asparagus too. My husband had their salmon sandwich with fries, he thoroughly enjoyed both(I was tickled he shared some of those perfect fries). We were full so ordered key lime pie to take home, it was packed perfectly and was heavenly treat after long day of travel

As our appetizer we ordered the fried calamari. We got extra stuff thrown in like muscles, clams and scallops. (I think) Definitely not just Calmari and there wasn't much in there either. Pretty bland. Sorry forgot to take the pic! I really wish I would ordered the mozzarella balls instead. I was not very impressed by the catfish or shrimp. Pretty bland, nothing great. My hunny had the Crawfish étouffée and he said he would rate it a 4 on a 5 scale and would eat it again. If I were in the airport I would eat at Pappas Burgers instead.

So at first I was mad because I wanted shrimp and grits and it wasn't on the menu, ordered the catfish instead. Wow. Best fried catfish I've ever had. Wasn't mad anymore. And the portion is very generous!

Really missed this place! Was happy to see a location at the airport. Had a fantastic lunch during my layover. Staff was great, asked me flight departure times so they could keep our lunch on schedule, very thoughtful!

This is actually my second time here. Both times ended up getting the shrimp po boy sandwich. Tastes so good and you get a lot of food too. I really love the sauce that comes on the sandwich! In typical airport fashion, it was a tight squeeze, but I was traveling alone, so I didn't have any issues with luggage.

Airport dining price point $30/meal plus wine half bottle and dessert and tip $120 for 2

Very good food! Great service as well!
