Delicious! A little something different than the other bowl or salad places that have popped up all over town. This was fresh, tasty, and fast. Also pretty customizable. I’ve heard from my coworkers since my visit that they have some yummy breakfast options so I will return!
Ordering and pick up was easy. The sandwich I ordered had a decent amount of meat on it and the bread was great, but the pesto was awful. It tasted like cilantro is in it, which wasn’t listed on their website and absolutely something that should have been mentioned or I would have told them not to put it on there. Thank god I’m not actually allergic to cilantro like some of my family members but it does have that soap taste to me, and I can’t be sure if it really is in the pesto but it sure tasted like it. That kind of stuff should be listed, as it’s such a polarizing flavor. The sweet potato hash was lukewarm and honestly just okay. Needed less onion and honestly have the onion cooked longer.Lemonade was good but a little expensive in my opinion… actually the whole thing was expensive. Nearly $20 for a sandwich, a side and a drink + tip.Haven’t decided if I’ll be back ??♀️
The food is so good and healthy. You can tell the differences. The salads are so tasty.
I've now ordered a couple times via the online ordering and pickup. We've been really really pleased every time. The food is very high-quality you can tell. They even have a drive-up window for pickup orders! I thought that was kind of cool! The interior of the restaurant is really cute! My husband is super picky with food and he really likes it too. They have a lot of options to customize and a ton of healthy options. Our favorites are definitely the steak sandwich, the chili lime shrimp bowl with the forbidden rice oh, and there are Brussel sprouts are amazing! I'm into it.
Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! All their salads are like that. I got the grilled chicken salad with egg, and it was awesome every time. I’ve been back several times and I plan on making this place my go to spot. To add, the person that helped me was great. Got me to sign up to their app so I can enjoy free stuff the more I come in.
If you haven’t been to Chop Shop, it’s a must try. Your first visit will not be your last. I love this place! I used to go to their location in Scottsdale when I lived there and I’m so happy to have one so close to me in Houston! The food is always so fresh and delicious. They have a great selection of fresh juices, smoothies, sandwiches and bowls. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
Not every food place is for everyone. I like to be flexible and not have a preconceived perception of what I think the food will taste like.I ordered a Club sandwich (and admittedly, after doing some research, it was the wrong thing to order). When placing the order, the cashier was not able to communicate effectively or understand our orders. 3 people ordered and each of us had an issue with our order.I realize that the labor pool is limited and employers are just grateful someone shows up to work. But just putting a warm body at a spot, may not be the best business decision. The two other people liked their food (not wowed, but said it was okay), however during our meal we discussed more about how inefficient the cashier/order taker was.The food runner was then caught off guard when the food was delivered and had to return to the kitchen with the wrong orders. My club sandwich, had no flavor and the bland turkey was truly inedible.A employee who may have been a supervisor came by the table, I expressed my dislike for my order and it was basically shrugged off. This was an missed opportunity to at least let me walk out thinking they cared about my feedback. The manager was in a far bench, interviewing a potential employee and I respected his time and didn’t ask to speak to him.3 stars is a generous rating.
The side of fruit ($3.00) is measly. For $3.00 you get 3 small apple slices and 12 tiny grapes.???? The salad had a fried egg in it. I like eggs. I assumed it would be boiled so that was a surprise. Very mediocre meal. I won’t be ordering again. Expensive for a underwhelming lunch when there are so many other good options.
I am way to excited about chop shops arrival to the galleria area. Ive had a little bit of everything breakfast, juice, smoothie, bowls - My favorites are the Korean steak bowl, the grinder sandwich, and the egg and veggie hash. It’s a healthy (and fast) option for lunch, super accommodating for people with meal restrictions too!
The food is delicious. I had the Thai coconut chicken bowl and my husband had the chicken prosciutto sandwich. Both were amazing. The sauce on the Thai bowl is badass - definitely ask for extra! All the veggies were fresh and nothing was heavy or greasy. A great addition to the area.
