The staff was friendly. We came there for lunch after a day at the museum of natural science. My girlfriend and I both built our own bowls and were allowed to mix and match different fish and other ingredients. We’re visiting from Norway, which is known for its fresh seafood of the highest quality, And I must say I was not disappointed with the quality and freshness of the fish at Ono Poke. The salmon and tuna were both extremely tender and tasteful. I would definitely recommend.
Ordered to-go poke. Been going to this establishment for awhile as I find that the prices are great for the price—a bit smaller portions but good variety of options to choose from. Came out always fresh and delicious.
I've been ordering from here for the last 2-3 years. Good poke'. Rewards program is nice for a free menu item when you accumulate enough points.
Super good. Good service. We have eaten at many in Houston. The address is a bit small. Parking on the side. One of the top 3 for sure. And clean restrooms
I've been going here for at least 3 years because it's walking distance from my house. But the past couple of months, I've been going to another Poke place nearby because I felt they're slightly better. Tonight I was feeling nostalgic and decided to go back here - huge mistake!Something has changed about Ono. The tuna is tough, salmon flavorless, sauce and toppings missing (see picture - dry and no nori/togarashi) and paltry portion size for the price. It's disappointing to pay ~$13 for some rice and half a cup stale fish. I did visit at 8:10 pm. But it's no reason to serve a bad meal if it's too late.For all the better times, I'd like to give this place another try. But I'm not willing to waste another $13 on a bad bowl of Poke. Disappointing!
The apparent FIRST poke place in Houston. Went for a week night dinner with a friend. No one was there, so I was a bit hesitant.However, I was pleasantly surprised! Super fresh food and very fair pricing. I got the large (4 protein choices) with every add on imaginable. They even give sauces on the side for free if you want to try them out.$15 and plenty of food later, I would highly recommend this poke joint!
Spicy salmon is forever the best poke bowl from any poke restaurant.

My family and I had an amazing experience here! Jenni was so wonderful and helpful! She took the time to make sure we understood what was in our bowls, offer suggestions and help us create the perfect bowl for each of us. She even gave my daughter extra "sushi beans" (edamame). This was hands down the best poke bowl we have ever had. My only wish is that they had a snack size or child size bowl. Ordering a full size bowl for a 4 year old creates so much wasted food since it does not keep with the fish in it. Owners, would you please add a child size portion to the menu?Can't wait to come back!!!My favorite is the Spicy Salmon!
Fresh and delicious poke bowl, however the portion is kinda small. I guess if you want to stay very healthy, the small portion size is not a bad idea.
