Very friendly and kind people working there, such good service.

This is so much more than just a great place for us foodie's - its an entire experience! Beautiful people ( I mean REALLY beautiful people. Houston's best!), amazing music played from a reel-to-reel tape deck up front, crafted designer cocktails and a menu that will knock your designer socks off. It's truly that good. Order your cocktail and go over the menu. It changes often so check with your server for a wonderful description of each item. Choose a few bites to share and try an entré if you're still hungry. Bottles of wine are nicely priced too. We shared all that we ordered. After drinks, we started with Beef and Butter dumplings with sauerkraut , yogurt and dill (amazing!) and the Nancy Cakes with cultured butter, trout roe & chives (youHAVE to order this!) and actually found room for one more dish - the Lamb Tartare. It's prepared way beyond what you'd expect ... with green olives, almonds, spices and creamy sauce on the side along with some sesame crusted flat bread. Visual delights. Full emotional experience. Audio delights. Excellent staff (well trained and attentive). A taste bud pleasure ride. Smiles and surprises all evening long. You gotta go!

Everything was amazing! Recommended making a reservation as they get very busy. Parking is around back or on the street. We were sat immediately and out server was great. They had great recommendations and every dish they recommended was a hit. The chicken is so moist and buttery. The burger was very interesting with the crunchy English muffin and lots of melted cheese. The grilled summer squash was so savory. The salad was crisp and refreshing. Very casual place some were in shorts and nice tshirts. You can dress up or down with no issues. As the night goes on the people were dressed nicer. Very dimly lit and candles on every table.

I wish I could give this restaurant 6-stars..Our server Kim was an absolute delight! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. Kim’s recommendations really helped inform our order and she did not disappoint. If you’re lucky enough to be served by Kim, you’re in great hands.Given this is a tapas style restaurant, I would highly recommend eating here with a group of four or more to really get a full sampling of all this restaurant has to offer. When I saw the menu, my initial thought was, is this it? I am a picky eater and shamelessly ordered the fries assuming I would not enjoy anything this restaurant had to offer and I was incredibly wrong. I loved everything and ultimately the fries served as great palate cleanser between courses. We let Kim guide the delivery of our plates and had zero regrets. We started with the croquettes, the fries, and the lamb tartare. Delicious, delicious, delicious. Next, we had the dumplings, the leeks, and the Nancy cakes. Delicious, delicious, incredibly delicious. Our last course included the sourdough bread, the ravioli, and the summer squash. I can’t begin to describe the explosion of flavor combinations with each dish. I still can’t get over the flavorful butters, aioli, and nuts. For dessert we had the parmesan cheese cake with black pepper honey and the coffee buttermilk ice cream. The cheese cake was mind blowing! Apparently, not everyone is a fan and I can not fathom how that could be the cake. It is absolutely amazing. This restaurant was absolutely amazing and I can not wait to go back.

This place ranks in my top 3 restaurants in all of Houston. And that's saying a lot. Every dish is full of flavor, and all of the components just compliment each other so well. I've been here a handful of times, and each time just gets better and better. Oh, and the service is one of the best in the business. Can't wait for the next visit.

The menu offers a wide variety of delicious starters and main courses that will appeal to youngsters and adults alike.

The food is amazing!! The service is awesome! Jamie was our server and she was fantastic!! Would definitely recommend!!

My husband and I found this place in a google search. We chose it because it was in between NASA and our hotel. While the staff seemed a little off putting at first (they insisted the candle stay on our table even though there wasn’t room), the overall experience was amazing. Once we got passed the candle incident I have zero complaints. Our server was very attentive, did an excellent job of explaining the menu, and was so polite and friendly. We don’t drink, but even the Sommelier stopped by to chat and offer suggestions. He actually chose our two desserts and was spot on. We ordered the half chicken and the swordfish. I have no words to describe how perfectly both were cooked and seasoned. I can’t remember the name of what we ordered as an appetizer, but it was soooo delicious. The house made lemonade is literally the best I have ever had; not to sweet, not too tart. If we lived in the area this would be our weekly date night restaurant. As it is, we will be back every time we’re in Houston (unless someone wants to expand, add more locations, franchise). 10/10 Stop in, you won’t regret it.

This restaurant overtly discriminated against my wife by refusing a reasonable accommodation for a hearing disability, and the supercilious manager, Justin Van, was a condescending jerk about it. At 5:30pm on a Friday, the ambient noise level with lofi hip hop background music fluctuated between 80-84 dBA per my NIOSH sound level meter app. The OSHA mandates hearing protection at levels 80 dB and higher. My wife has hearing loss, so I intentionally scheduled our dinner reservation for 5:30 (when the restaurant is not as crowded) and requested a “quiet table.” After being seated we requested the music be turned down slightly so we could enjoy our meal, and the hostess refused. We then spoke to Justin (manager) and he also refused. He said: “we have never turned the music down, and we aren’t going to. In fact, we turn the music up as the night goes on.” My wife and I are both doctors. We explained the hazardous noise level and attempted to educate Justin on how dangerous this is for staff and employees. He offered to either move us outside (music playing at same volume + fan noises + traffic noises) or to an adjacent table next to another party, but absolutely REFUSED to adjust the music volume. When we pulled out a phone to record his response on the record, this man LEANED IN to the microphone, stated his full name and title, and reiterated his refusal for a reasonable accommodation for my wife’s disability. He also gave us the phone number for owner Jason Vaughn and smugly said to call him. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and easily grounds for future ADA lawsuits as well as occupational injury lawsuits from employees subjected to this madness. We will NEVER return to this establishment, and encourage all Houstonians to stop supporting an establishment where management would so blatantly discriminate against a customer. The year is 2022.

This place is great. Came late on a Saturday night and it was still pretty packed. The service is great everywhere. I got the Nancy cakes which were phenomenal - the cakes were nice and pillowy. Also got the cheeseburger which was pretty good as well but I think I still like the one at squabble better. The portion sizes are a bit small vs expectations but regardless this place is definitely worth checking out
