Ok if want to eat like your at grandmother house this is the place one meal can feed two people and I had Sweet-and-sour And it comes with a lot of rice I had my family with me and they all say that there food was really good this place is Chinese and puerto rican food combined together I never thought there was something like this but here it is I really like how I can see two Different nationalities come together and make something this awesome. Round trip from Austin to Houston today to try michy's. I was born and raised in PR. Even worked at a Chinese rest a few years. The food and flavor is there.Here's my frustration. Normally I would say in PR . I want "una combination de polllo" I want a chicken combo.I looked at the menue and was immediately confused. I saw chicken two piece right at the top. Ok.. so far so good. I asked for that and also asked for a side of fries. the lady says, your plate comes with fries, do you want to change the side? I had no idea what that meant. Later I found out what I had ordered is something that in PR we call Pollo con papas. A box with chicken and fries. I couldn't believe what I ordered didn't come with rice. Very thankful my wife saved the day and had ordered a side of rice while I went to the bathroom.Now that I know, next time it should be a better experience.Very clean and everyone was friendly.Edit. Changed review from 4 to 5 stars. The 2nd time around I ordered peppers steak and it was all that I knew and love. Came with rice and fries.perfection.will hit this spot every time im in town for sure.
Its very good for the type of food they serve.Portions are generous, the takeout containers are pretty well filled.I ordered the fried pork and boneless rib plates with testones (12.25 each).The fried pork or carne frita were crisp and juicy with a hint of five spice.Boneless ribs were moist and were doused in a thin syrup. Most interesting is that they have fermented soybean paste in the the marinade. It is very noticable. This was surprising since most chinese bbq resturants here don't even bother adding that ingredient or add in a negligible amount.The particular item I came for are the testones. They were crisp with some give and were garnished with diced garlic which I really love. Paired with the garlic dip, I was was very pleased. Just be careful of the breath you will be exhaling.Overall I was not disappointed; I will be back to try out the other dishes.
Make sure you come hungry ? this some good eating here. Got the costillas BBQ and carne frita combo. Them tostones with garlic is the go to move, dip it in the mayoketchup and that’s the chef’s kiss. Carne frita was crispy on the outside and super juicy and tender on the inside. Costillas BBQ were boneless, sweet and tender, love it with the fried rice. Gotta come back soon and try everything else in the menu.
Tried on a whim Glad we found this place. Really good food and portions were great! Puertorriqueño food and Asian Fusion. Amazing tostones and great orange chicken and garlic chicken!! The fried cheesecake is a must as well. Pretty affordable too! You want great Chinese food in Katy this is the place fried rice soo good!
Absolutely loved their food!!! Without a doubt we will be coming back for some more. Tostones were delicious. Sweet and Sour was way more than I expected so it was a great surprise. I’ve heard their ribs are delicious so I’ll be ordering that next. Highly recommend.
Delicious American/PR style Chinese food. (Not authentic Chinese food). My guilty pleasure!Wait time when it's busy could be VERY long. One Sunday, I waited for more than an hour for my takeout order!
