I love Lynnâs Steakhouse. The steaks were great, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service was was wonderful . Attentive without being obtrusive. This great steakhouse is a Houston institution! Donât let the odd location and dated decor deter you from visiting Lynnâs. You will be pleasantly surprised!
Great experience. Maybe the first steakhouse visited when we moved to Houston 20 years ago. Much longer drive for us, but worth it. Two vastly different cuts of meat cooked perfectly (Ribeye and Chateaubriand) to different temps exactly as ordered. Lobster Bisque, Berg Salad great starters. Perfectly cooked sides. Small staff but very attentive and quick to see what you might want/need. We will come here more often going forward. It was a special occasion for us and without being asked they added some special touches including a card signed by the entire staff and a special treat at the end.
Great birthday celebration
This is a quality neighborhood steakhouse with a nice variety of dishes, pleasant ambiance and attentive staff. we have been celebrating our anniversaries/birthdays there for many years and have never been disappointed.
A trip back in time to 1985
Live in NY. Just a pleasure to eat at Lynnâs. Class. All staff were outstanding and not to mention the food
A very nice relaxed atmosphere for a couple's night out. Excellent and attentive service. The Ribeye was excellent, as well as the salad and soups. I would recommend it as an excellent place for a date night, Would highly recommend.
We went based on reviews we saw but I will not lie to the population. When looking at the menu online I thought it was a bit pricey but after seeing the reviews I thought perhaps it would be worth it. We walked up and there was trash on the sidewalk waiting for us. I should have known what we were getting into when there was a piece of paper on the host stand telling us not to keep our belongings in our vehicles, but decided to head on in. We were met with a friendly-enough person, who led us on who-knows-how-old-this-is carpet through my 900-year-old grandmother's decor to a table at the side of a room that although the rest of it was super-dated, the dimly-lit string-light-on-vine ambience lent itself to me being hopeful. One thing I did notice: even with the ridiculous decor and the oversized plastic wine bottles lining the shelves the place was very clean. We were sitting against a wall that had chair rail but zero dust on it and the carpet bag-like wallpaper was dust-free as well. We ordered and got our app quickly. Crab cake was very little crab lots of bread crumbs and too much sauce. We ordered dinner (chilean sea bass and a steak with a side of mushrooms) It took 45 minutes to get it to us. While we sat and listened to other guests' conversations because the tables were so close together. The food came out and tasted awful. The sea bass I ordered to be well done was not and the medium-rare steak was cold. Not sure what took so long. They both lacked in flavor, salt, and the bass was fishy as could be. There were two teeny mushy baby carrots on the plate which made no sense and the waiter only came to our table to deliver our food so we didn't see him for quite some time. The manager (or owner) gave us our food and his thumb which HAD A BLISTER ON IT was almost to the center of my plate! I used the lemon on my plate to sanitize the area but was in great shock. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. DO NOT GO HERE. Good reviews for this place are a LIE.
Celebrated our 52nd anniversary at Lynnâs. First we were met and escorted to our table. Great ambiance! It felt as if we were at a friends house having stopped by for dinner. The only thing that topped the service was the food. Great salads and âmelt in your mouth â steaks. This was our first time having dinner here but it certainly will not be the last. Highly recommend!!!
First time there for my friends. They loved it.
