Stopped for lunch after arriving in House and our party of six was seated immediately. Waiter brought out samples of beef fajitas meat to try. Most of group ordered fajitas, but I tried the Lupe original chicken which was very moist and tasty. Guac was good, but salsas were a black peppery type and a bean salsa which were just okay. The next day were visiting at a friends house and they had gotten fajitas catered from a different Lupe location, and it was good too.
My wife and I have been to several Lupe Tortilla locations around town and the Shepherd location (1511 Shepherd Dr) is our least favorite. We have called in Togo orders several times and often our orders were not the way that we wanted. We have chosen to use other Lupe locations.
I want to thank Sebastian and his team for providing professional, efficient, and exceptional service to my party of 25 and I. I guess there was a mixup when I reserved a dinner for 25, but despite them not having us down for dinner, Sebastian made sure my party got in for dinner in a timely manner. Him and the main waitress (I think Megan) made sure we were taken care of, and they kept me informed about how they would bring out the food and asking if we were satisfied! Thank you!
Food was great, service wasn't up to par. Our waitress Daniasha (?) seemed new and unsure. We asked for a refill of the red salsa only to not have any extra chips in hand. A veteran server would automatically at most restaurants bring them out seeing as the initial bowl was near the bottom. Then it was having to ask for a water refill. Really just nit picking stuff but which a more seasoned waitstaff would recognize. We're still more fans of Tony's in the Heights salsa than the beans here although they were decent. Queso taste exactly like Gringos here so not sure whose copying who. I WILL SAY, the Combo Fajitas were the BEST we've ever had across the USA. Prices stack up well. We'll try again just not with this particular waitress.
Came in for early dinner. Ordered a few drinks n dug into the chips n salsa. I like the beans they serve with the chips. Ordered beef and chicken enchiladas the combo plates that come with a taco. A little bit of everything. Finished with the yummy flan. Our server was very friendly.
Unacceptable order from lupetortilla avocado looked black I’m willing to bet the owner or manager’s/employees won’t eat something that looks like that. Portion was extremely low considering the price paid.
I went for my break time, it wasn't too full and it took 40 minutes for my order to come out (one plate only) it was a bit cold, too much pepper in the rice, and apart from that I couldn't finish eating it, because I already had to go… I was extremely disappointed.. waitress was very kind tho..
Went for a group lunch and we ordered a fajita platter for the whole group. Enjoyed the chips and salsa + beans as well as the sizzling plates of steak and chicken that we then wrapped in tortillas and topped off with guacamole, sour cream, salsa, cheddar, rice, and beans. I thought they served food on good timing given the large group (15 people); brought out drinks and chips first then brought out all of the fajitas at what felt like probably 15 minutes later. The only thing that felt weird was at the end when they verbally reminded us that tip was not included in the bill and that we should keep that in mind. We would’ve looked into that anyways or asked if we had a question.
I want to give a special thanks to Sebastian, he was very nice and helpful and got us set up with a table outside even though it was cold and at the time we arrived the patio was not open! Thank you so much! Our waitress was also super helpful, kind, and made our experience very fun! Merry Christmas to your hardworking staff!
Great food, great service. Steak for fajitas was wonderfup, tortillas were great. Word of warning, if you see a red pepper it is hot, not a pickled pepper. It is hot hot.
