Really cool that it was started by a native Houstonian. Some of my favorite salads out there. Also has speedy service for a downtown lunch break.
I just found my new favorite restaurant! Not only does Leaf and Grain have the best salads in Houston, but also, the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere. All of their ingredients are top of the line and delicious. Highlights of my salad ("The Alamo") was the housemade chipotle lime vinaigrette and the best chicken. Can't wait to come back!
SO YUMMY! All of the salads are delicious and the service is great! Leaf and Grain makes me excited to eat healthy, and their Good Greek is one of my favorites. Highly recommend Leaf and Grain!

Depending on which one of us you talk to this is either “sticks and twigs” or “stems and berries!” LOL! No matter what the the name this place has fabulous food and now good wine and beer. The salads are so complete, it’s hard to describe. You can either pick a “menu” salad or create your own. Oh, and you gotta try the shortbread. It so good! GREAT PLACE TO EAT!
Just what our ever so growing city of Houston needed: a locally owned , deliciously fresh , mouth watering salads & healthy dishes restaurant !! From grain bowl to warm bowl options , to salads, vegan , deserts and kids meal! They have it all! We are addicted to Sunny’s Garden & their cayenne pepper fudge brownie …. Yuuuuuum !!
I was guided to Leaf & Grain by friends and was blown away by the quality of the food! I had the Pollo Laredo, which was delicious. Bright, crisp flavors and a great mix of textures! My friends salads all looked great (I snuck a taste of the other dishes at the table!) + a really neat little grilled cheese & tomato basil soup! Nice! A real comfortable little restaurant and the owner was there checking on us. Thanks, I’ll be back!
Was not impressed. Can get better quality at other restaurants. Cashier was pleasant but manager was not. Will not return.
We ate at the Weslayan location recently as we saw something new we hadn't seen before and decided to try it. You order at the counter and the salads are made to order. While somewhat confusing when ordering, the staff helped us out along the way. We enjoyed the fresh ingredients in the salad and like to tortilla soup too.
I was so happy when leaf and grain opened up. I love the menu and the healthy food choices. However, the scoops of salad topping are very small and they Shake the scoop so it’s not even a full scoop. This is particularly annoying when you pay $1.00 extra for Brussel sprouts and broccoli. The servings consist of very small portions. They ration your food when you choose your topping!
