Food was great. Table was not in good location. Service was excellent.
Took my friend for her birthday. Service was a little slow, but the Houston restaurants week menu was delicious! The table was for two and uncomfortably small for the amount of food
We made a reservation for 715pm. When we arrived we were told they were fully committed and would seat us in the lounge or bar area. We got to the table and it was a low cocktail table that we couldnât get our legs under. We told them we needed a regular table since we were planning to have a full dining experience. We waited a good amount if time, and never heard back after ordering drinks. We asked a server to follow up on a potential table. They checked with the hostess and reiterated that they were fully committed. So we closed out and left. Disappointed because weâd wanted to try this place for a long time and were excited to check them out. If the establishment grants a reservation, it should honor it. And if it canât honor it, it shouldnât grant it. Also shouldnât assign guests to a bar or patio area without their knowing and acknowledgment. On open table and resy other establishments classify the different types of tables so if the only table available is in the bar or patio or non traditional dining you can know ahead of time and take the table if youâre ok with it. The bar area was kind of cool just not what were looking to do that night. All of the above I feel is just poor reservation management and forgivable. But I Donât think weâll be back because none of the staff seemed to care about our experience whatsoever. It was kinda like eh were fully Committed sucks for you kind of vibe from ALL staff. No management came by. Nothing. We did end up having a great meal at a fine dining place not far so the night was not lost.
Love the tuna tartare, dumplings, colonial salad, filet, brussel sprouts. Great cocktails.
Cha Gio and salmon are delicious, can't get enough of it.
Everything from food, service, experience, ambience, atmosphere, decor was superb. It is by far my favorite restaurant in Houston.
Return to Le Colonial after 6 month absence. Brought a friend who was a first timer. Food and service were amazing! He loved it and said he'd be back. Thanks for a great evening out!
