Went with friends on Monday and the flautas and nachos were delicious!!!
It’s the local bar, so it’s convenient. Not great by any means. They frequently don’t have the items in the menu. And if they’ve not run out of food they run out of some of the draft beer on any given day/hour (I’m not talking about late on weekends). Food tastes meh and the price is high IMO for the quality. I just got a burnt end burger, and it came with no burnt ends (and not by request). Service is poor. Can’t say I won’t come back again because it’s a good meeting spot for neighborhood friends. Wish they would address all these issues which I know are not supply chain related because they’ve been going on since they opened. This place could be much better.
Cute neighborhood spot! The kids loved playing outside and the adults loved having a drink! It’s a great family / friend spot. The prices are really reasonable as well. The food was really good as well! So that was an added perk! One thing I really wish they had was a gate that goes out to the parking lot. I was with a bunch of other parents and that was one thing we all really thought they should have just to be on the safe side. Our kids we older but I found myself watching other peoples kids just because it made me nervous!
When the weather is nice, a beer garden is one of the best places to be. With a cool drink, nothing feels better than the great outdoors, surrounded by the natural elements and, hopefully, good conversation as well. My love of beer gardens led me to check out Lazy Oaks Beer Garden, located in west Houston close to the Memorial City Mall.Lazy Oaks Beer Garden has a neighborhood feel and is a chill type of place, with a long interior that features a bar along the back wall, high tables and low tables, and barstools along the edge of the bar itself. The stools at the tables don’t have backs and are a little less comfortable than I prefer, but the place to be is the outside beer garden. It’s larger than the interior space and features picnic table seating, television sets, and a partial covering just in case it starts to sprinkle or if you want some protection from the hot sun.For beverages, Lazy Oaks Beer Garden is first and foremost, a place for beer. I counted about 23 taps the last time I visited, most of them Texas- brewed suds, but there are out- of- state options as well. If beer isn’t too your liking, never fear- they have a full- service bar and can mix up any drink you like. The food served at Lazy Oaks Beer Garden is typical American pub fare, such as sandwiches, tacos, wings, etc. I find the food good overall, especially when consumed with beer. The fried chicken sandwich was a little more bready than I prefer, but the burgers are hearty and, again, a great match with a glass of local brew. For parking, the immediate parking lot fills up quickly but keep in mind that there is extra parking space available across the street. The prices at Lazy Oaks Beer Garden are slightly less than at other, similar establishments, which is a plus. It’s not the prettiest place on the inside, but as a beer garden, Lazy Oaks Beer Garden works and it’s a place I will return to when I’m in the area.
Atmosphere is nice. They have a nice, large outdoor patio area. The only downside are the drinks. They are awful and weak. The food is overpriced and meh. They do have a nice ordering system where you scan a qr code to order and then can pay on your phone. The food came out super fast. I got tacos and they were awful. I didn't eat them.
Great food and a great staff. We will definitely eat here again.
A great neighborhood venue
I have been working in this area for almost 16 years and I used to frequent this place when it was a corner store. It turned into a beer garden a few years ago so b I decided to stop by and check it out. Love the way they did the place for one. 2. The customer service has been on point the few times I've been back & 3. Just as one of the ladies behind the register said "Everything on the menu is good"....She was absolutely correct and the drinks are on point as well. All in all it's a wonderful place to hangout with great outdoor seating/small play area for kiddos
Good food and nice people!
Chips and salsa were good, I loved their fries. Food overall was good, different taste for what im used to as far as barbacoa but it's a nice spot to go grab a bite and drink some beer. We went early in the day, not too busy. I wish they had more ciders.
