I ordered the chicken fried rice with a side of plantains. It was delicious! Could have used a little less oil and do away with the embellishments but delicious nonetheless. The place was clean and ordered, the menu was not overly complicated, and staff was respectfully polite.I took attention to the meticulous precision taken by the bartender as she was resetting the chairs and cups on the bar (culture).I love when simplicity, professionalism and great tasting food come together.
Cool and beautiful places for Peruvian food. Next time, I would stick to the original menu from Peru ?? for the best tastes. Coffee was great.
If you love South American, or Latin food, or just love food in general, this is your place guys. The waiters will help you if you're unfamiliar with the options. Try the Anticuchos, one of the amazing (and very different) ceviches (leche de tigre!!!!), and don't their Aji Gallina chicken!
One of the best Peruvian restaurants in town!My favorite dish is the ceviche! I recently try the rotisserie chicken and it was delicious!
I went I few weeks ago with my family and we loved the food, drinks and the service was also very good. Thanks a lot guys, keep it up!
For being a restaurant with so many great reviews, I will say that the service was not very pleasant. My husband, my daughter and I were coming from out of town, and we googled this place to have friends over as well, we got to the restaurant right at dinner time, there was probably just a few tables filled in and many tables wide open, the host/manager or whoever this person was at the door ignored us at first, then we let him know that we needed a table for 4 and a 2 year old, then he proceeded and got on the phone, and grabbed reserved signs and started placing it at random tables. My husband and I got the impression that he was refusing service to us. Then this same person told us it was just by "reservation" and it will be a 1hr and 30 minute wait, so my husband and I decided to leave, we had a 2 year old that was hungry and so were we. At the end of the terrible experience my husband and started googling other Peruvian places in Houston, and the same guy ran to tell us there was possibly a way to get us seated after he heard me saying "I will not recommend this place". My whole point is what made this guy refused service to us?. Did we do not look rich enough? Did the presence of my well behaved toddler bothered him?, I do not tend to write reviews about restaurants, because my family receives good service after all wherever we go, and me as a Peruvian that was looking forward to come and try this place, left a total bad first taste.
The Best Peruvian Menu I have seen in the US. The Tamale was absolutely Peruvian style. Mimosa made fresh juice and balanced very well with Cava. We came for breakfast and there were many options besides Peruvian Breakfast.
Food and service were outstanding! Was my first time trying Peruvian food and I loved it. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. My table got some Peruvian ceviche, lomo saltado, aji de gallina, and LBK fried rice. They were all amazing. My lomo saltado dish was soooo tender and flavorful!
