Best soul food place and they are the sweetest people I was privileged to meet!! And Larrys sauce is so delicious!! Best prices and food is as southern as it gets!!! Definetly recommend this to anyone wanting a real authentic soul food dish!!! I give them 5 stars!!!

The energy of this location was amazing the woman that assisted me was so nice I got the shrimp plate however, sadly the only good thing on my plate was the signature sauce on the shrimp but all the sides i got were extremely bland… Couldn’t see myself visiting again but definitely enjoyed the experience.
Literally my first time here and I expressed that and Larry was so rude. I asked for a menu and he told me that the menu changes so they don’t have menus ?Then he goes on to call out everything on both serving lines and I tried to ask a question and he told me to let him finish cause he wasn’t going to repeat himself.. ??. Shame and the soul food is from a cannery. The nerve of you to be rude and selling soul food from cans. Laney is very pleasant but it doesn’t make up for canned soul food and her husband’s nasty demeanor. Who is keeping them in business???
We were so excited to visit this restaurant, and even knew exactly what we wanted to order. We arrived just over an hour before their closing time, and the team member locked the door as we were walking up. Another customer arrived with a call in order and couldn't get in either, and only received their food after knocking and calling. It looks great but the service is anything but.
Always delicious, Just love their Mac and cheese...My Mother made it the same way..it's a St.Louis recipe. Larry and Lanny are always very friendly and appreciative that you chose their place to buy your soul food.The honey gazed wings are awesome too.
I had the smothered pork chops with rice and gravy. It was good. However the Macaroni and cheese were just ok and the greens were chopped frozen greens. I give the restaurant a B-. I do plan to go back and try other things. It's the only soul food spot in my area

I ordered a cake from them. When my mom seen the cake she was not pleased. It looked like it was stepped on. I bought a plate and ten wings the wings were good but the plate of food was too salty
We got the peach cobbler and the special with the chicken and dressing with Mac and cheese it was ok. The lady upfront was welcoming and sweet. We drove there from katy. But it was a one and done for us.
