No “Order Ahead” shelf, though it is advertised. You still have to wait in the line. Kitchen is slow and they help people out or order. “Of course your order is 15 minutes late, how dare you complain? I won’t even tell you ‘sorry for the wait’ because I obviously hate my job and you.”AND they got my order wrong, didn’t give me my croissant or tomatoes. I only received about half of what I ordered. Bacon and gallette were both overcooked. The french onion soup was like a bowl of salt. Terrible crew Saturday 5/28/2022. Will be demanding a refund.UPDATE: what a lazy response from the owner without a whiff of accountability.

Don't complain about the service, or they'll take revenge on you by ruining your food/not giving you what you paid for. The rude, sad kids that work there made it very clear to not expect to get what you paid for, or even a modicum of proficiency from the people that work there.RE: owner's response: the one-star stays and I won't be coming back.

Amazing Customer Service and Ambiance. We had a Whole and a Half tasteless French Dip Sandwiches, Bread was good, Beef was way over cooked and lacked seasoning, the Au Just was like water, lightly flavored of beef? Ceasar Salad good, Pasta Dish lacked flavor as well. Unfortunately I didn't realize at the time of ordering that the Half Sandwich was just over a Dollar less than the Whole Sandwich making it incredibly overpriced.

So have to start with saying, I really like La Madeleine, but for some reason at the river oaks location (West Grey) there is a guy with a mohawk that runs the cash register and he refuses to allow you to walk in and get your to go orders. I order to go so it is quick and easy, already payed for. But he makes you get in the order line and once you make it to the cash register then he will hand you your order. Not worth Ordering online here and I really dislike that side of it! Wish they could fix this please, so we can all enjoy the option of quick easy to go.

Unfortunately one of the worst madeleine at west gray Houston. Their cream brûlée was overloaded with egg and also they couldn’t do the sugar crust… asked to heat the chocolate croissant and also they didn’t and OMG that thing was old there and the lemon tart was just like Cheap supermarket… not what you expect from la Madeline.

Used to be great. Quite sorry state post Covid. Almost no dessert and pastries. The Meyerland location is much better.

Service is horrible, the folks behind us received their food first and mgt had not even put our order through, we waited over 30 min for our food. How ridiculous is that?

Breakfast was so delicious and at the atmosphere as well. Nice and Cozy to eat.

The food is always delicious at La Madeleine. Some of my favorite dishes include the Caesar salad, tomato soup, potato soup, the quiche, and chicken salad sandwich. The staff is always very helpful and attentive. I love the West Gray location a location because it has a very charming atmosphere. However, because it is small, it can be difficult to find a place to sit during peak hours so plan accordingly if you are wanting to dine in.

Was a pleasant little restaurant with good food and a nice outdoor atmosphere with the weather on this day great at 70 degrees. Wasn't overcrowded like some places.
