The server was knowledgeable of menu items. Impecable and fresh food preparation. The printed list of sashimi for the day accompanied the chefâs sashimi box.
This is still the hidden gem of Sushi restaurants on the Westside of Houston. Their sashimi selection is one of the best in town. And the chefs come up with some unique and innovative special plates on a regular basis. Great wait staff as well!
This is not your typical ârollsâ suchi place. Unique and delicious with prices to match.
It was again an amazing experience. Looked the food. Our Server Kelly chose for us. We feel bad that we asked for her and turned away a young server. However, Kelly is very good at picking dishes and we did not even have to look at the menu. We went all the way from Kemah to eat here for special evening.
KUU is always an amazing experience overall. The atmosphere, the staff, and of course the delicious food.
The food sucked!
Sashimi and midi were excellent; tempura and gyoza less so. Desserts also not stellar.
We try to visit KUU at least twice a month. They never fail to deliver, even when the supply of fish has been disrupted by delivery issues from Japan. Also, they get new Sake's to try quite often. Heaven is a new one they recommended that is very nice.
I'm not a big sushi fan. Thankfully Kuu had a few things looked really good. I'm not going to lie, it's pretty expensive but the food presentation was gorgeous. However; portions were really small and I left hungry (there were 5 bite size pieces to the pork belly). I will mention that the squash purée was absolutely wonderful, it was like a dessert. The service was great and the birthday girl had a great time.
The restaurant is Beautiful, but the food is just ok.
