If you love handmade noodles, you should try this restaurant. My favorite one is beef noodle soup. MUST ADD the spicy oli sauce. ?

Kuen Noodle House serves the freshest pulled noodles from soupy ones to stir fried ones. I can choose the noodle thickness for any dish. Best of all, I get to watch how the noodles are made.

There’s no words to describe this place besides absolutely fantastic.Certainly lives up to the hype I heard about it. I first heard of this place about a week ago from some college kids at Gi’au, a little ways down the street. I’m just visiting family and I’m not from here, so when I heard them raving about the food here I got curious. Im so happy that I found this place! My noodles were so good, I loved the soup especially. It’s very flavorful and it loads the other ingredients up with a nice juicy bite. All of the food is very authentic, which is super awesome to me because I spent 3 years in China when I was in grade school. It all reminded me so much of what I used to be able to eat there. The next thing I’m fixin to try is their knife shaved noodles, I’ve heard all about this and I’m excited. This has become my favorite noodle restaurant. Fixin’ to try everything on their menu eventually, keep up the great work y’all!

Everything was amazing. The food was so hot and tasty. I love spicy, and every bite was so flavorful and consistently spicy, I couldn’t stop eating! The beef and veggies were incredible, tender and juicy, what a combo! So beyond impressive. It was my first time trying knife-shaved/knife-cut noodles and I will be back for more! The texture of the noodles is so fascinating and unique. The food was so authentic and the service was great! The staff and owners are so happy, their energy really radiates and brings more happiness around the restaurant. Really creates a very home-y vibe. Another super cool thing is that you can actually watch them make the noodles fresh and by hand through the window, which is absolute astonishing due to the amount of skill and focus that goes into creating it. Great experience!

Wow, what an absolutely amazing and authentic restaurant! All of the food was absolutely amazing, the best that one can find in America. The knife shaved noodles that they are famous for is one of the most unique and rare and most amazing noodles out there, it’s very hard to find because it takes a lot of skill and knowledge and many years of training to perfect. The noodles I got here are some of the best I have every had. I specifically want to bring attention to how perfectly cooked and amazingly tender the meat in the noodles were. They literally just melt in your mouth, definitely best I have ever had, and I’ve tried a lot of noodles out there. The broth was phenomenal, perfectly flavored in a way that it seems art, individually crafted to perfection. My mouth is watering just reflecting and thinking about it. We ordered numerous other dishes too and every one of them were absolutely delicious and gorgeous, I can’t wait to come back. The service was so great! They were all so happy and genuine, you can really tell that the staff are passionate about the quality of their food and the quality of their restaurant, and that reflects in how amazing the food is. You can really taste the passion and love in their food, and the thousands of years of culture and stories behind each dish. Hands down one of the BEST restaurant and cultural experiences I have had, and I will definitely be returning! Highly recommend anyone and everyone to try!

Kuen Noodle House is one of my favorite noodles restaurants in Houston Chinatown. It offers made to order noodles, never frozen or dried. The quality is top of line to make me want to come back to try other dishes. Starting July 2022, they only serve pulled noodles at lunchtime. That means the kitchen can concentrate on cooking those delicious dishes at dinner time. They added new stir fried dishes from northern china, like Sandong Chicken Big Pot 山东土鸡, fried cabbage with cuttlefish, pork roll cake etc. Check with the restaurant before making a trip here. They are closed on Wednesdays.

Really authentic Chinese fare. No orange chicken or egg rolls here, just traditional Chinese classics. Restaurant is a bit dingy, which in a way adds to the authenticity. Food was good, but could use some stronger flavors. They hand make their noodles, which is great. Not the best noodles in the world, but A for effort.

Frequent customer and they are always on point. The staff is friendly, the noodles are one of a kind, I keep coming back to here! This is a perfect place to come during the winter months. The water with lemon is a nice touch!

Second time we come and we still enjoyed our food. We had this time the spicy tendon and beef stew with the #4 size handmade noodles. Soooo yummy!! Definitely will be a place we come to when there is cool-cold weather. The waiter is very nice too. They serve water from their water container that has lemon in it. He is always looking out to top your cup off.

I have not been at that noodle house for a long time, so I decided to eat my birthday noodle at Kuen Noodle House. I'm sorry to say. What a disappointment!!! I used to think the soup tastes good, but not today! One scallion pancake cost $3.99! And the noodles. It's like some 'dead dough'. Not stretchy, no strength. I don't know. I won't go back for the noodle soup. The soup is spicy. But it's spicy with black pepper. Not the Szechuan numbing spicy peppercorns. NO NO NO. I believe it's not the same anymore.
