My first time eating traditional Nigerian/West African food. It was wonderful! The portions were large and food delicious. Prices very reasonable. I recommend this restaurant to everyone

I’ve tried a lot of Nigerian restaurants in Houston and so far this is the best Egusi soup I’ve had. Food is good and customer service was good too. Will definitely return and try other things on the menu.

I came back home from work on 02/26/2022 and was super tired and thought I should order jollof rice and coconut rice since I didn't have time to cook at home.only for me to eat the jollof rice and it tasted burnt and really nasty...sorry to say I don't mean to berate your business but I'm just being honest. Whoever made that jollof rice that day, should not cook jollof for you again because I was really upset I had to trash it and that's waste of money.

Hands down the best jollof I've had in the US. Love the atmosphere, bathroom was super clean so that's a huge plus. Our fried rice was half done and could've use some more seasoning. But overall, we enjoyed our meal. Young lady at the counter was receptive. We'll definitely be back here.

First place I tried when I first got to Houston. It was near our CAC center and I was starving…just came across the photos so I had to submit a review. More on the expensive side but really good!

I usually come here more than often and order the same thing. The fufu and vegetable soup with no meat. Yesterday I decided to get my usual but also ordered the stew fish, coconut rice with plantains. It was my first time trying the coconut rice and it wasn’t fresh and had a weird burnt smell and taste to it. I def will not try that rice again from this location. I’m big on first impressions with service and food, and it just didn’t satisfy me. The stewed fish did not appear to be cooked to order as it was not hot. The vegetable soup was room temperature, I know if prob was prepared from morning, but they could of heated it at least. I shouldn’t have to come home and reheat food that I just purchased from a restaurant. I don’t care if I came two hours before closing time, I paid my money and food should be at expectations of the patron. They need to do better, it’s way too many other African restaurants in houston with better preparation of food and service. I will not be coming back to this establishment. I have given them too many tries. Will not be wasting another dollar in this restaurant

I come here to get my Nigerian food fix it’s located close by my house …. I tried the okra soup with fried stewed fish and jollof spaghetti it was absolutely delicious ….. the owner always comes out and smiles

Located on Westheimer amongst many competitive eateries; yet, the food is yummy! I ordered the seafood okra soup with Eba (cassava flakes). It was delicious! Still have left overs! The soup is packed with crabs, shrimp and fish (tilapia). So good! It was about eight of us and we all enjoyed our food! Our waitress, Hannah, was attentive and polite for the most part. I think her attitude would have been more pleasant but she appeared tired. Nonetheless, If you’re in the mood for some Nigerian cuisine, definitely go to Kom Chop!
