Came here with a group of friends. Really great food! Ordered a 2 sausage plate + Macaroni balls. The sausage is excellent! Included exotic meats like boar and elk if you are feeling adventurous. The portions are very generous with the sides! The Macaroni balls were warm and cheesy, even well into the meal. The scenery has a very relaxed and had a festive vibe. The servers are very attentive and food came out quickly. Great customer service!Come with a group of friends or family and share some food!
Such a phenomenal little place !! The vibe is so lively and the staff is exceptional.Definitely can't miss a smile or good time here, it's bound to happen. The tap is cold and the sun is warm.. faux grass and little pond if you brave the outdoors.Inside is chill, pun intended.. bathrooms are clean and fun!So much to choose from.. Definitely plan to come as a group or plan a few hours just to hang out with a partner/friend.!
So we decided to visit King's Bierhaus on Saturday, May 21 with our foodie friends because one of our party had a hankering to try German food. We arrived at around 7:30pm. When we walked in, we immediately noticed the noise level. I mean, it was NOISY. There was obviously live music being piped in, and we knew we were gonna be yelling at each other for a while. We were immediately greeted by the hostess, who informed us that she didn't have any inside tables available, but we could sit out on the back patio. We were relieved and thankful to be out of that loud room, until we realized the live music was coming from outside! We were seated right in front of a woman singing and a man playing the guitar. The speakers were turned way up. Why do restaurants always think they have to turn up the music SO LOUD??? I mean, we're not even old and it was too loud for us! After a moment, a young lady came to our table and informed us that she wasn't our server, but she would get us some water. Weird, but okay. Then, another server who "wasn't our server" came over and took our drink orders. Finally, our actual server came over to our table and took our order. Mind you, not much time had elapsed between the first girl and our real server, so we weren't upset by any means. We ordered the charcuterie board for the table. Our friends ordered the Taste of Germany, which the menu says feeds two or more people. My boyfriend ordered the Sausage & Schnitzel plate and I ordered the Bangers & Mash. I know, I know.....Why am I ordering British food at a German Restaurant, right? Because reasons! That's why!One cool thing that happened...after we placed our entree orders, one of the staff came out and brought us a little plate with an assortment of sausages, and some horseradish and little pretzel sticks since it was our first time there. We all thought that was a lovely gesture.Anyway, the Charcuterie Board came out and it was beautiful! Everything on it was delicious, and they obviously care about presentation at King's Bierhaus. Unfortunately, our entrees came out about 30 seconds later, so we didn't really have time to enjoy the appetizer on it's own.The Taste of Germany entree was absolutely MASSIVE! Our friends ate off of it and had enough leftovers for 2 more meals! They both said it was "good", but nothing really to write home about, which is the way I felt about the Bangers & Mash, unfortunately. Good, but not impressive. My boyfriend liked his Sausage and Schnitzel plate, but again, it was nothing to rave about. We all wanted to like KB more than we actually did. Mind you, if someone offered to take any of us there for dinner, we wouldn't turn our nose up at it, but I don't think any of us will be going back, seeing as Houston has endless other restaurants to try that are better and way less noisy.
Went to the King's BierHaus for a group event. The atmosphere was very lively. They had games playing on the TV and they also had live music playing. The tables were large and served as a great venue for a group celebration. The menu offered various appetizers that are more than enough to share. We tried various sausages on their sampler and they were all delicious. The beers were also frosty which was perfect for a hot afternoon.
We went for Mother’s Day brunch. My lunch was very good and tasty it was the King Haus Benedict. They had the place all decorated up for Mother’s Day which was very nice and made the mom’s feel special. We also got the deviled egg appetizer, it good next time I will try something else though.
This was our first time to eat here our waiter Zach was very knowledgeable and his recommendations were excellent everything was scrumptious ❤️❤️We had a sausage sampler with the different German sausages they were delish. We split the Taste of Germany platter and the desert he suggested was the Apple streusel & it was magnificent!! We can’t wait to come back and try more dishes. Oh I almost forgot I got the lavenderita , my husband got the tequila colada and my sister got a beer flight. Zach was so helpful in helping her decide which ones she might like. The patio outside and live music made it a great experience overall . You won’t be disappointed
Always a good place to share some apps, drink some beers and hang out with friends. Food is solid and the beer list is extensive with German beers a plenty. Cool outdoor seating and lots of indoor seething at bier hall style long tables. Staff has always been friendly and fun as well. Clean bathrooms as well, which is important when you need to make room for more beer.
I would recommend this place to anyone.. this was the first time I have been there and the food was awesome..
This place is great, I'm glad I found it beer is delicious and I had the best damn sandwich I've ever had here ? thank you!!!
Great food and great service.
