Kim Son is always great! I went for Sunday Dim Sum, that was very YUM!There was about an hour wait to be seated and the line for the buffet was quite long. But for it to be that busy you know they were doing things right. No staying at any time want competition l completely full ready to be eaten. Everything was really really good and everything was hot coming off of the buffet. They service was quick and efficient. I'll definitely be back soon!
Very good Vietnamese buffet. Lots of options and lots of local people eat here. Seem to be very popular. When we were there, the whole place is pretty much filled and they have lots of tablesOysters are little small but for the price no complaints.Crawfish is pretty big and fresh. Also has some specialty drinks included in the price.
The buffet was really good. The variety of food option was great. They have the noodle station, Vietnamese street food station, the Chinese food station and the dessert station. The food was flavorful and well seasoned. Selection was good. It is a bit pricey though $20 for lunch.
Give it a 3.5 stars. This place is authentic Vietnamese food. It's all you can eat buffet for certain time limit. They do have weekday vs weekend price differences. I like the noodle with grill pork, nem nuong and shrimps and the soup stations.
Number one Viet buffet. Over all good. Nothing super duper exceptional but that’s how buffets are. You come in through the grand stairs. They have diff photo ops throughout the year. Pretty wide in variety of foods. Love their dim sum selection as well. The amount of different dishes you get to try is awesome. They have dessert stations. Different seasons they have different specials. Line is out the door!!
The food at this place is not worth the price or the hype. A couple of us brothers from all over the state Michigan, California, Colorado, Minnesota, Florida and Dallas,Texas itself decided to come here to try this place out because we saw it on youtube and the family thats from there said its usually pretty busy and hard to get in. But it's very disappointing, hot food was pretty blend, sushi grade typical buffet sushi, they're alot varieties of dishes but majority of them didn't meet our expectations at all which is very disappointing. For us to travel that far and this was what the hype was about? We wouldn't come back in our opinions. Foods looks good but it's definitely deceiving.Overall server was good though.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Variety of delicious Vietnamese dishes - this was my first time at Vietnamese buffet and I had a fantastic time eating here. Usually I don’t eat at buffets because you don’t know how long the food has been sitting out. However, at Kim Son, staff had to quickly replenish each dish as they were quickly eaten by customers. There was a great variety of foods and stations, ranging from prepared plates to street foods to noodles. I would definitely recommend going to the noodles station. Each bowl was the perfect size for you to sample the dish and still have room to eat more. I especially recommend noodles number 1 and 3. I will be back the next time I visit Houston.
I like their seafood selections. But the taste could be better. Their staff serves the buffet, but not everyone understand English well enough to put proper amount of food in out dish, some food were wasted!
Highly suggested to try out during weekday lunch, it's only $18 for the lunch buffet. It has an amazing selection of classic Vietnamese dishes and the drink/dessert section is awesome! I don't think it's worth paying for dinner/weekend $28 for some additional seafood dishes.
Buffet is excellent. Not self served anymore due to covid. Large variety of dishes to chose from: veggies, meats, seafood, soups, desserts, and Asian specialties. Love to try them all, but stomach can't hold that much. My advice is to try small portion of each and see what you like.
