Pleasant atmosphere and good food.
Used to be great. Now it’s dirty & poor service.
The website showed that the Jefferson location was open until 8:45. We called ahead to verify how late we could arrive and still be seated. The lady on the phone said we could be seated as long as we arrived by 8:30. We came from the south Houston area to make it before that time. We walked in at 8:26 and they told us that we could not be seated but could order from the “to-go” menu. We then asked why we could not be seated and they said that the kitchen was closed. We then asked that if the kitchen closed to be seated, then how can it be open for the “to-go” menu. They then said that they closed the kitchen at 8:25, totally redacting what we were told on the phone. Great food but feel as if we were lied to.
The first time I ate the vegetable fried rice it was great. But I've since been back twice and I will say, the rice didn't have good flavor and the shrimp fried rice smell like the sea as if they didn't clean or wash the shrimp with lime or vinegar, I almost puke. Whoever that cook was that cooked the first time they should rehire him/her.
I came here for lunch, and it was great! The wait time was non existant, and I got my food super quickly. I got the general tso chicken for around 10 bucks, and I'm satisfied with the price. (Though their sampler appetizer was over priced for what you get in my opinion. Tasty but not enough bang for your buck). I liked my meal so much I ordered a meal to take home to my grandmother. Also the server was polite and kept my drinks topped up. He was rather soft spoken so it was kinds hard to hear what he was saying but then again I do not have the best hearing. Would reccomend for lunch!
I remember having this years ago and enjoying it very much. We went for my birthday and I was so disappointed. They removed all the meat from the main body and just gave you this plate of those empty shells and a bunch of small crab legs. Saturated in this onion mix they make. It was difficult to eat and not enjoyable. I will never order that again. I would pay the money if you gave me two or three entire crabs. They clean out the majority of meat and expect you to work to get what little meat there is out of the crab legs.

I haven't been to Kim son in forever and it was really great today. I had a 2 item chicken combo with orange chicken and general tso. My wife had a seafood dish and both were very tasty. I would definitely go again soom
Great flavors, nice portion size. Crowded at lunch so allow for extra time to be seated.
