As always James Coney Island has really good hot dogs and some other offerings. Simple place for dining in or drive thru. Always clean and neat. Decent prices. Good place to find foods kids like.
I've been visiting James Coney Island for over 50 years, and according to my taste buds, there's a dramatic reduction of whatever ingredients that enhanced the original flavor in today's products. You should probably get back to your recipe, and receive a larger profit by utilizing, quality over quantity, and may your taste buds have a pleasing, succulent journey, in the pursuit of the Heavens of the perfect Cuisine, have mercy.
Food was good and fast. Place was clean and fresh.
The Chicago dog they have is pretty legit. The chili cheese coney is tasty but, having lived in Michigan for many years (the home place of the coney), it definitely isn’t a real coney. Prices are a bit steep too. I tried ordering a Seattle style hotdog but found out they didn’t have it on the menu anymore so that was disappointing.
My Wife and I stopped in for a quick bite for supper. The Walker St. Is my usual option with a Chicago dog. They do a great job on quality and freshness.

We have been eating at Coney Islands all over Houston for 20 plus years and never had service this bad. They cheated us twice on our tamale plates. Even after complaining they still did it wrong and then look at us like we do not know what we are talking about. How come all the other locations get it right ?
I love there burgers & never had a problem but my burger bread was burnt ! Besides that great customer service guy at window was so nice !
Service was fast, I really miss the Original JCI downtown on Walker, all the guys behind the counter with white hats and aprons churning out the dogs cafeteria style !
Have been eating James Coney Island since I was a baby at their Town & Country second oldest location (that sadly closed as a victim of the covid plannedemic) and their original coney’s with cheese (chili dog with onions and mustard) are great. Their bowl of chili is the best in town and beyond. Always make it a point to stop by whenever I’m in town on business. Their beef hot dog selections of the chicago and new york hot dogs are great too. Cheese fries taste great. Tasty cheese whiz covering crispy french fries
