AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!I have been to this place quite a lot years ago but this is the first time I came back after covid. I could see the difference because they took off the signature wallpaper. Everything was self-served maybe because of covid. The black bean noodles (Jajangmyeon) tasted sour, felt like they were bad and looked unattractive. Won’t come back.
I used to come here frequently years ago. It had such a nice family hole in the wall feel . But as the years started to progress, the quality of the food, cleanliness, and service dwindled.The first time I started to notice this was years ago, when a roach crawled on the table. We let the staff know and they refunded our order and gave us a whole new dish. Cool.Recently when I went, there was a roach literally sautéed in our food. When I let staff know, same process, refund and new dish.I told my friend who also use to frequent the place and she told me a similar experience about a roach crawling on the floor around them.Now I’m sitting here in bed with a stomach virus writing this review after eating there. Don’t go here guys. It’s dirty, and they are infested with roaches. And this seems to be a common theme. All they will do is refund the order and cook you a whole new meal.How about cleaning up the place so you don’t have to do this all the time.
Okay Korean place, food court style but with a wider selection of dishes. Not very stable food level on different days. Good for a quick bite but not a feast.
great korean tofu spot in houston. prices are LOW. the combination price is AMAZING.food - great, all the tofu stews/soups are great, its all personal preference.if you love korean spicy rice cakes, i would order them because its a huge order to share.i always order the combination because i want korean bbq and the tofu stew.
Upon arrival, we weren’t greeted and the lady (owner/ manager) told us to sit anywhere. 30-40 mins passed and there were 4 tables that weren’t cleaned and the owner was just sitting and laughing and while having the dining area completely dirty. On top of this she was wear flip flops while touching and handling food, and to proceed in the dinning room they have located a location where it seem to have a couch where they would hid. This place use to be one of my favorite places to go but you can clearly see how bad it has gotten. Definitely won’t be coming again.
I tried their Ramen with Pork belly. It was okay. The Ramen tasted like instant Ramen with vegetables and some Krispy pork belly.Their Dumpling were really good and crispy though. I highly reccomend.My favorite was their fried chicken. We tried the spiciest flavor and it was perfect in spice and in crisp.Their free water is also very addicting and highly refreshing.
This is some of the tastiest Korean food i’ve ever had. Easily the best Korean food in Houston for overall value. The restaurant itself doesn’t offer much ambiance or atmosphere, but the food will keep me coming back.
This place has gone downhill. The foods used to be good and so was the service. Now, there's absolutely no service. I haven't been back in a while so I wasn't accustom to how the order process is. Sat there for 15 minutes and the owner made no attempt to even come by to let us know we need to go to the cash register to order. No more drinks either, everything from a damn vending machine, water bottle, ice tea, etc. A combination meal (soup+bbq) used to come with a small fish, that doesn't exist anymore. The bbq portion is significantly smaller (literally half of what used to be). The rice used to serve in the clay pot, not anymore. The rice kimchi squid cake is overcooked and soaked in oil. Everything is overpriced, my son and me had the combo (soup+bbq), my wife had just the soup, and we ordered the kimchi rice cake with squid, came out to be over $80. Never again.
The food is good. Be aware that they sell the drinks in bottles and cans. No refills on drinks. They just bring you the food. No table service.
Do not come to this place any more. No service. Good over price and they serve everything like garbage.
