Ordered jerk chicken to go. The folks who work there were nice and talked to me. I had a chat while waiting on my order. Jerk chicken was very good. Over all a good experience. Thanks.
Omg Burnt!!! Common guys! Sixty dollars for three plates. TWO BURNT....FUDGE!!. I use the word fudge here to replace the curse word that Also stats with F. I have photos here, so there is no mistake of the food I am speaking of. I placed a to go order and this is what i got. I am so upset. YOU KNEW IT WAS BURNT WHEN YOU BAGGED IT UP. Hard earned money gone to waste. So very disappointing. This was purchased around 630 pm so there is no excuse. Dinner time should be when you shine. If this is your best, I shudder to see anything else.
Horrible Customer Service! I love Jamaican food and the culture. I have even dated Jamaican men and not all Jamaicas are like this guy. Just not worth me spending my money here. There are definitely more options available when it comes to Jamaican food!Americans- BYPASS this place! And by all means - read the reviews! In the lyrics of Christopher Martin “I’m a BIG DEAL”
The food is delicious , the atmosphere is smooth and uplifting. The music is relaxing. The drinks are off the chain! The staff is amazing, Best Jamaican food I’ve every had!
Horrible service, beef pattie was under cooked, rice was hard and stale. Will never go there again .Owner Ellen was on the phone talking loud saying bad things about another restaurant.
My husband and I have driven past this restaurant for years and planned on one day to try it. We finally tried it (ordered to go) and I will never go back again. The older gentleman was so rude, made us feel like it was a bother to add to our order, his personality was very unpleasant. The Oxtail tasted burnt, I threw my food after eating one oxtail, my husband was not happy with his jerk chicken also trashed. I would not return to this restaurant :(
Came during LUNCH TIME and ordered the LUNCH SPECIAL curry chicken, rice and peas, and plantains. Everything was authentic and reminds me of my Carribean family's cooking. The food was hot and tasty. Also, Ellen was so warm and inviting.I took two stars off because the server with the locs did not listen to my request when I asked for the lunch special and I even pointed to the lunch special on the menu when ordering. It was particularly irritating because my sister and I ordered exactly what it said on the lunch special specified on the menu. Also, there was no one in the restaurant, so you couldn't blame the mistake on noise. In typical Carribean fashion, he did not listen and did what he wanted to do. I usually direct expect some type of attitude when going to Carribean restaurants, but the order will be right at the bare minimum. There was no effort to rectify the mistake on the servers behalf. I didn't feel like the back and forth, so I let it go.If I go back, I will either request a different server or bring a set of qtips so he can remove the wax from his ears so he can listen properly.
So glad we finally tried this place! The food is amazing! Oxtails are sooooo good! Flavorful, tender and great quality. We’ve also tried the jerk chicken fries and jerk wings which were good as well. My dad tried the goat and said it was amazing! I’ll have to try that the next time I go!Service is top notch! The owner Orin is amazing and always welcomes us with open arms. Jason makes the best drinks and tells the best stories lol! And ask Mark Anthony about the “Henny Thing Can Happen” drink lolLove this place and the atmosphere! We’re lifelong patrons :-)
This spot is an hidden gem in Katy. The food was delicious. Sunday night the DJ was on point. Played dance hall, reggae and Afrobeatz all through the night. I haven't have so much fun in a lounge or club setting on so long. This will be our spots for the weekends without driving 30 minutes away from my home. The bartender was very friendly and my drinks were consistent. 10/10. Sunday was definitely the vibe for me
Horrible service! I wish I could give it zero stars!! We walked in and weren’t even greeted by the gentleman/owner who was in the front. Proceed to order food and asked if we could dine in, the owner said the food would “take a long time,” almost as if he didn’t want us to stay. After saying that the oxtail would only take 10 minutes, we sat down for almost 20 minutes and our party of 4 was never attended to again. No utensils, no drink orders - NOTHING! If you prefer to-go orders as a restaurant that should be stated at the front entrance or on your website. Customers should not be ignored to the point that they just get up and leave, which is exactly what we did! This is not the first time we’ve received horrible service and I will return nor recommend EVER! This place has tanked from what it used to be years ago.
