From a business point of view, the (young lady with the Afro puffs) bartender is liability! Her tone of voice was normal but her actions is what stood out to me. After placing my order, she started to engage with a customer who was obviously drinking prior to me arriving. She then asked him was he ready for his next shot, soon after, she poured him another one without him asking for it, all while charging him for each one that she’s pushed on him. Not only that, she joined him in on taking the shot with him, possibly charging him for the shot that she had taken as well. He requested for her to provide me with a shot but instead of giving me what he requested she included another brand of alcohol, a brown and a clear liquor, without asking if my stomach or body could handle it, and stated that “I just want to give her a little boost in hers since it’s her first shot”. Even before the shot was given to us, when he asked about buying him and I a shot she stated “oh you’re gonna buy us a shot?”, he then corrected her and said “no I’m buying me and her a shot” (while pointing his fingers between the both of us). She also made multiple statements about he need to clear the whole bottle, and she poured him shots until it was empty. Very concerning and dangerous.After my food was completed it was brought to me in a to go container although I requested to dive in, and noticed that she charged me for a large meal when I requested a regular size. Not even a few minutes after I was done eating she approached me and asked me if I was ready to pay the bill I told her I was still talking and she said “oh well I’m going to the store to get some ice so you can meet me up here to pay so you don’t have to wait on me to get back”, (all while I’m clear still drinking my beverage) then she walked back into the kitchen. I left her cash and walked towards the door, but... instead of her checking the ticket to see how I paid she immediately went after me and I left the cash payment that I left at the bar, with the nerve to ask if I paid before walking out of the door. After thinking about her actions I noticed they reminds me of workers extorting money from customers while miss treating them at the same time. Just a tip protecting your business is important, you never know who may visit. Thank you for your time.
Afforadable, nice atmosphere, very attentive staff. I ordered ox tails, they were tender, I expected them to be spicy, but they weren't. Would definitely like to go back and try something different.
Great atmosphere, felt like dinner at home around our kitchen table. All the food was excellent and quite tasty. Our server was good, great smile and attentive to our needs. A must visit.
The food is amazing and the drinks are even better! Strong drinks for cheap! It's a great place to try out.
I have been to this place several times in the past and I had a wonderful experience. So I decided to take my best friend out for food and drinks when we arrived there was a party of 9 that was being taken care of. We waited 15 minutes for menus. There was about three servers working no one came to us or acknowledge use when she finally came she took our order which was about 30 minutes in. My best friend received her drink before me which took about 45 minutes. I finally got my first drink an hour later we asked another waitress which was the only white girl there with long curly hair had our order been put in yet mind you we've been sitting here for about and hour 1/2 we were hungry and mad by this point. The white girl said how would i know im not your server.The chick that was working to go was sitting at the bar with her friend while her line was backed up. No communication what so ever. I said all that to say we eventually just walked out no food, no drinks. Our night was already ruined so we just went home. This place needs leadership and consistency. So I give them one star until they improve. But they do have great food.
The food is awesome, very flavorful. Drinks are good also, nice taste and strong, wont disappoint! happy hour everyday from 3pm-9pm specials on drinks and food! Love the customer service, my waitress was very attentive and makes the best strawberry mojito. I will defiantly be coming back!
