Bhambaclaht, good as rasshole u hear what I tell u??? lived in 10 different countries, last time I had curry THIS good was back in my home country! Certainly best I've had in the US so far, spicy like it should be, flavors are AMAZING, everything cooked to perfection ???DEFO a must go to!??? own and operated by a real Jamaican!
Did not finish my plate at all. And wasnt greeted nicely either. Was looked at like i wasn't supposed to be there. By a black older guy. I will not be back nor do i recommend. Cabbage was bland as well. Peas and rice had no flavor. Should've drove 10 more minutes to island spice. Yall been warned. They lack customer service and flava food is very bland!!!
I don't get to eat too much jamaican food, so I can't make any comparisons here. All I can say is that was A LOT of food for the money, I loved the oxtails and added some red sauce to my cabbage yow! YUM!I thought the curry chicken was a bit salty but my friend said I was crazy and it was very tender! I'm gonna try the tilapia next time ?
Had the Jerk Chicken lunch. Was delicious! Moist tasty chicken. Amazing plantains. Sauce over the rice and beans was great. Not sure how this place has bad reviews. I’ll be back for sure.
A long wait for specific items on the menu but it’s worth the wait ? very authentic Caribbean food!!!
Great food! I tried the tried the goat it was absolutely delicious. I’m was almost misled by the reviews. Glad I didn’t knock before you try it. Will definitely be going back!
I really wanted to let this be my go to spot on this side of town. My second try and it just wasn’t fresh food! The chicken was so dry and the fries reheated or just friend in old oil. The first time the gravy for the brown stew chicken was so thick. It just definitely couldn’t be fresh food! No thank you! I’ll go on the other side of town
Just tried this spot and got the jerk chicken lunch plate. The portion was just right for a $10 plate; however, the chicken was not jerk. It was more like baked and seared. It didn't have any jerk flavor. Disappointing! The rice and beans were OK and the slaw was a bit overcooked.
I REALLY Wanted To Love this spot. The portion was great We enjoyed the rice and beans. Both the "jerk chicken" and oxtail were a disappointment. The chicken was dry as several reviews detailed. Definitely wasn't jerk taste like rotisserie. There was no seasoning in the Meats oxtails included that made you desire more.While reviews were mixed I chose to go in with NO Expectations and just see what it'd be. I doubt I'd a return customer however the plantains were great.
Curry chicken is delicious. Be patient when picking up your food, it is worth it.
