Irma's Southwest was serving a very limited menu the evening we dined. Entrees are expensive, in my opinion, as steak fajitas for one was $32. The wait staff tried but seemed uninspired and not well trained. The atmosphere was pleasant and conversation was easy as there were not many diners. There is potential for this restuarant but management needs to get to work and prices need to better align with other top Tex-Mex establishments.
Always consistent food and atmosphere, great spot before an Astros game! Food is delicious and good value. Juan and the staff behind the bar make it a fun environment to entertain clients and out of town friends before walking literally next door to the game.

Our party of four had a fantastic experience at Irma's Southwest! It was mid-afternoon, so the restaurant was probably more quiet than it would be in peak times. Our server, Matthew, took great care of us and was able to make helpful suggestions on the menu items. We all thought it was one of the best Mexican meals we have had, and we loved having some unique wild game options. Everyone in our party is from out of town, but we all look forward to our next visit to Houston and will be sure to dine at Irma's Southwest again!
Always Great food and great service. Homemade lemonade is the best . . . .
Food not great. Immediately gave us our seat even though early. Which was nice. Food overpriced for what we had. Special occasion not celebrated there. Forgot to give us water after we asked, waitress hard to find.
amazing service!
Reservations were for 4:30. We walked in about 10 minutes late and were promptly seated. 10 minutes later I flagged down a hostess to ask about our waiter who still had yet to make an appearance (and our table wasnât the only one looking annoyed by the lack of attention). We were told there was a staff meeting in progress, but it should be over soon. Iâm sorry but what manager holds their wait staff at the inconvenience of customers?!?!? Yes apologies were made by our waitress and by someone who never identified himself, but no offer to comp a drink or dessert was ever made to try to make retribution. Food was good, the margaritas were good, but not good enough to excuse the rudeness of the staff and deserve our business again.
Excellent service surpassed only by the best Chilean sea bass Iâve had.
3 of us ordered the Combo #1 - shrimp taco, cheese enchilada and beef fajita. the other 2 in our party ordered the wild game combo.Everyone ate the entire lunch - it was so delicious..the beef fajita meat was really tender, the cheese enchilada was excellent and the shrimp taco was very very good. Nice mixture of flavors. Also, the queso we ordered was the best Ive ever had. Had a bite to it - YUM. The guys who had the wild game combo talked about how tasty everything was.Service was impeccable! It is a NICE place - white tablecloths! A bit pricey but again - delicious!
