Traveling with colleagues for several days we took turns picking dinner cuisine, and I picked Indian. Although I was not acquainted with this particular restaurant, it had good reviews and I wanted something traditional because my colleagues were not that familiar with Indian cuisine. Service was attentive and prompt. It was enjoyed by everyone. Two of us had lamb dishes (they looked very similar but tasted very different) and one shrimp. The naan and raita were good as well. I would certainly go back on a future visit to Houston.
My family and I have been coming here for over 20 years. We come every Saturday for dinner. Over the last 6 months I've made my way through the entire menu. Everything is amazing. The staff are extremely friendly and very considerate. Portion sizes are very generous.Samosas and pakoras are very delicious and fresh.Korma Kashmiri has now become my favorite Indian dish.Good enough wine and bar selections. They also have lunch buffet; definitely worth it.
Excellent food, served by an attentive staff. We have come here many times over the years, and always enjoy their delicious food. Many couples and business groups were there today enjoying the buffet.
Have been coming here ever since I was a child. One of the original Houston Indian restaurants from the 90s. Still have fond memories of this restaurant from 25+ years ago. Food is still as great and consistent as it has ever been and comes out fast. (It’s a little milder overall so if you like Indian levels of spice, ask for medium if you want Indian mild and hot if you want Indian medium.) Staff is attentive and pleasant. Prices are reasonable. Happy to keep dining here for years to come!
We have tried their buffet on Sunday noon as it was definitely disappointing experience staff were good ambience is good but main thing we were there for that is food was not good.I accept in buffet all items will not be spicy like Indian taste but ut was not flavour either.mutton was not cooked properly could not chew and items are too less and except chilly chicken nothing was good. Utter disappointment with the buffet
We love this place!! The food is mouth-wateringly delicious. The dal makhani is a must try. We have tried few other dishes like paneer butter masala, chicken Tikka masala and malai kofta and I must say every dish was equally tasty. The service is quick and the hospitality of the staff is great! We will keep coming back to this place.
Went for lunch buffet. Food was generic. Nothing special. Naan was raw. The rice was not completely cooked and cruchy. Tandoori Chicken had no flavor and curries were loaded with heavy cream. Only good thing was the rice pudding.
I have called this place and checked if they have Thali and they have confirmed on phone that they have Thali. After reaching the restaurant, they didn’t had any thali mentioned on menu and when we have ordered thali, it looked like they made a default thali with 4 curries, rice, naan and dessert. The food taste was good and authentic. However it was very expensive, the veg thali was charged 28$ and non veg thali was charged 31$. Though the taste was good, not worth that price.
Very friendly service and great food. The atmosphere used to be more "fancy", but the place is still nice. And a new feature-a full bar. I had the chicken vindaloo whihc was great. Just enough heat to make it interesting, but next time, I will ask for even more heat. The lamb dish my husband had was good too.
I have eaten here for many years. It's always delicious with great service.
