Maximum disappointment! I tried to call my order to go but no one answered. I should have taken that as a sign to go elsewhere. So I chanced the 30 minute drive and patiently stood in line as the invisible customer for over 30 minutes before being acknowledged. They were out of rice and peas so that was another 30 minute wait. The orders were getting mixed up and i was offered a canceled order that was sitting on the counter a good 20 plus minutes.I ordered the jerk chicken and brown stew chicken. The vegetables were the only edible part of this experience. Never to return.
First time ever in my life I'm disappointed in a Jamaican resteraunt. I decided I didnt want to drive an hour across town to my favorite Jamaican resteraunt "Golden Krust" by NRG stadium. Now I'm regretting it. #1 they had no veggies patties only beef and chicken. #2 Menu is a dry erase board with no pictures of the food. #3 The news on the TV was blasting about a shooting totally killing my vibe.I was looking for Jamaican music. Heck if you got cable pull up youtube I dont care.I over looked the stain on the table cloth because they have plastic over it and the plastic cover looked clean.I ordered the veggie plate and I hate ? but they didn't tell me what was in it and I didn't ask so who fault is that?Normally when I order a veggies platter from a Jamaican spot anywhere in the country I get potted, yams, plantains. But nope none of that hear.I was dining in and no one seated us so I asked and they told us sit anywhere. Once the food was ready it was bagged as a to go order so I accepted that as my sign to leave the non festive environment.They also offered me nothing to drink, my 6 year old kept screaming he wanted French fries ? and they offered no alternative.The 1 exposed fork they provided was dirty so the nonchalant lady behind the counter noticed I was looking for a trash ? can and asked to see the fork. They just both stared at the dirt on it as I walked out with my son.I just got home expecting to be slapped in the mouth with that Jamaican seasoning we all love. NOPE ?? BLAND.THEY CANT BE JAMAICAN WITH FOOD THAT TASTE LIKE WATER.I will never go back again. I am left to season my own food and what a waste of time I cant get back.Lesson learned...make the drive to Golden Crust! No wonder the place was empty. ?
Went there tonight only got 2 pieces of jerk chicken with 1 piece of plantain. Super small pieces. Not worth $11 and oxtail for $15.99 only got 3 pieces. It was our first time there trying out the place. We are Caribbean people and it was VERY disappointing won’t go back. Coming from NY it’s so disappointing the little amount of food they give for price charged.We will continue going to Cool Runnings. They should aim for repeat customers not one time visitors.
I've ordered from this place two times through door dash and 2 times through pickup.On this past Friday, I placed a call in order for a small oxtail plate which is $15.99 and a meat pie and when I left I kept wondering how did it come out to $24 plus. I said, well maybe I overlooked the prices. Well I placed another call in order on today for a small oxtail plate, only to realize when I had left the place, my bankcard was charged $21.34. So, I called the guy back and asked how much is a small oxtail plate and he said $15.99, I said, well you all just charged my card $21.34, he then asked what else did I get, and I said only a small oxtail plate as I ordered via the phone. He says he isn't sure what happened although he was the one that rang me up. Then he stated, he didn't make and small oxtail plates on today, which means he took it up on his self to upgrade it to a large plate without asking me. Then he proceeded to say that he wasn't going to sit up there and go back and forth with me about an extra $3 and I stated it is my hardworking money and after realizing, he charged for the large plate on this past Friday as well without my knowledge. I've been overcharged twice which is very unacceptable after I was just mentioning to my friend on this morning how delicious their food is. I'm done and I will continue to provide my services to cool runnings as they treat me right. I only tried huzzys because it is near my neighborhood but I'm done. I work extremely too hard to be disrespected in the manner in which I was by the guy at this place. Please ask for prices and please check your receipts prior to leaving. Also, please confirm your orders prior to paying for anything. I'm highly upset ?.
One word Amazing! Food quality was great, portion size was great, the flavoring was spot on. I will be referring friends over to come get a taste!
This BEST oxtail, fish ever. Such a wonderful couple. We eat Huzzys almost every week. We love their food. What are you waiting for, order and see for yourself?
Huzzy is literally the nicest guy ever! So is his wife. Customer service is amazing! Food is so delicious. My favorite go-to Jamaican restaurant & will always be! I’m never going to stop going there! If you’re indecisive about which Jamaican restaurant to try let this be your first choice!
My sister and I went on Thursday night and ordered two fish dinners which is made to order. I had the brown stew and my sister had the escoviche. THIS PLACE IS THE REAL DEAL! The food was Delicious. And the portions are huge. I was able to eat 3x from my food. Big up yu self Milo for the drinks!Thank you Huzzy for a great dinner. We will definitely be back??

Monday I wanted something different for lunch so I got ... Jamaican food. Goat ? to be exact! It was good. The meat was super tender, fresh, and hot.The only issue I had was when calling in my order the phone rings to what seems to be a cell phone, and the gentleman that answered must thought I was calling for him because there was no restaurant greeting just a hello... oh yes can I help you? Other than that it was good. I actually ended up calling my order in about 30 minutes before I made it there and by the time I made it my food was still steaming hot ♨️ which is a plus for [email protected]_allfortheloveoffood_
