The quality of the food is fantastic, prices are very reasonable, staff is very attentive, and a great atmosphere. Hard to believe we’ve lived in less than a mile away for three years, and this was the first time we came here. Our mistake
Fantastic! Ordered the shaking shrimp fried rice. Will order again its plenty for 2 people.Beers: Destihl steal your haze, is a good hazy brew. Tasty and easy to drink.Live Oak HefeWeizen is another solid beer with hints of cinnamon. Im torn on whether or not I would order again. But worth a try.
This venue is quickly becoming my favorite place to eat when I am not cooking at home. I haven’t had a bad meal yet.
Tried this place on Saturday, ate here again on Monday. Best Bánh Mì I’ve had. One day I tried the Shaking chicken, other sautéed beef each with a fried egg. Both were good. The shaking chicken was awesome. Also tied the 5 spice pho and egg roll. Staff is great too!
Pleasant restaurant with good food from Vietnamese vermicelli bowls (excellent) to hamburgers. Great selection of beers. Very friendly and helpful staff.
To fully appreciate this unique "tavern and grill," you must be a beer drinker, which neither my husband and I are. We are "beer readers" though, and while waiting for our orders, we read about the many unique brewers posted on Hughies' illuminated billboard menu.There is a beer for every taste here and a good selection of affordable wine by the bottle or glass which is what I prefer.Thursdays are half price days after 3pm on their well priced bottles of wine.The cuisine is amazing It is unlike any Vietnamese food I have ever had. Every dish is tempting from the Shaking Chicken or Beef to their shrimp or salmonI usually have the grilled salmon, and it is always very fresh. It tastes perfect with the kale salad with their exquisite raspberry vinaigrette and dried cranberries . It is the best salad. My husband bounces around the menu, but often gets the banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich). Whatever we get, we ask for Hughies' variety of sauces: peanut, dumpling, sweet & sour and fish sauce They add to the savory flavor of our food.The ambiance is cozy and the service is always very helpful and professional. We have enjoyed both the 18th Street and Main Street locations.
Great food! Great service! Bo luc lac is delicious as is, of all things, the kale salad! Looking forward to coming back!

Easy place to stop in for dinner and a beer. Bahn mi is tasty, vermicelli bowls are great. The rice dishes are tasty too. Try the shaken beef! Lemongrass tofu is good too. Excellent draft beer selection.
We love Hughie's Grill! Food is great and they have an impressive lineup of draft beers. Like - this place has more beers than a lot of bars. There is indoor and outdoor seating, though we prefer outside. Service is quick and friendly. This is a go-to restaurant for both takeout and dine in. Give them a try.
