Hugh's pour the best Guinness in Houston hands down. It's also a great spot to watch sports, especially soccer. They're the home of Houston's official Liverpool supporters club and are open for every Liverpool match. I went last night (Thursday) for steak night and the ribeye was excellent. Highly recommend this place... the food and drinks are great and the staff are terrific.
Not bad at all! Came in with a friend for happy hour. Had the Cod tacos, and she the veggie Burger. Both were good! Burger may have been a little overcooked, but not the end of the world. Happy hour wasn't bad! I do wish they had food options for HH, but also not catastrophic. Worth a stop!
Came for a Liverpool match. Staff behind bar were great and good atmosphere. Wait staff were absolutely miserable and rude. Obviously had a pretty poor understanding of what the Liverpool support brings into their bar. Constant ordering of avocado toast definitely impedes any kind of service.
I went on a Saturday night. There was a big name playing at the improv nearby so it was very chill and not packed at all. I had a legit Irish bartender who I can only assume has a stake in the business, but he definitely lends authenticity to it being an Irish pub. He was also responsible. He personally had to cut off a guy who was drunk and had his friend help him leave the bar. He was very knowledgeable and I have every intention of returning with friends to talk whiskey and bourbon and expand our palate.
I needed a place to feel my Irish pride in on St Patrick's Day and this was the perfect spot for lunch! Delicious fish and chips, and the Guinness chocolate cake is so good.
This place is amazing! The bartender, I believe his name is Goose was very entertaining and quick witted. He makes the best Hawaiian martini I have ever tasted. We were there for trivia night. The question master was challenging with his Irish trivia for St. Patrick's Day and we had a bunch of fun. The food was also delicious. I would highly recommend this Irish Pub.
Sliders were good, though did come with Chipotle sauce despite asking for it removed. Stew was great, but the mash potatoes are from a box ?. Cod tacos are good, but a tad less cilantro would be great so as not to overpower the fish. Brown bread is banging! On the whole, a much better experience than was expected (esp since we don't drink). Sorry no photos...we were hungry. ?
We came on the BUSIEST day of the year (St. Patrick’s Day) and when I tell you this place was packed, I mean it was absolutely bursting at the seams. One of the servers went out of his way to find us a table (which seemed absolutely impossible) and then two other servers, both women whose names I didn’t catch, came to help us. They were so efficient, so on top of it, despite the absolute chaos around us, and so friendly, that we will absolutely be back! They took our orders quickly and got them out quickly, and came back several times to check in on things. We were very impressed! The food was also exceptional. We had bangers and mash, fish and chips, and the Guinness cake. The bangers were authentic (I lived in Ireland, I would know!) and the mash also very good. The fish and chips were also good. The cake was very rich, but if you like chocolate—which I do!—you’ll love the cake. Can’t wait to go back again! Thanks for the great time.
Great friendly service ???
great cold beers...no greeted but asked what we wanted to drink
