Awesome food. Great atmosphere. Friendly service. What more do you want and will ever need.

I have driven by this restaurant many times on the drive to and from EllaBoulevard. They have a covered outdoor dining area with picnic table seating and an open-air seating area. From the street, it looks like a hole-in-the-wall place, but the food is very good.I ordered a hamburger with an order of home fries. The 1/3 pound burger food served on a large fresh-baked bun. It's a good Texas style burger.

Good services and friendly staff!

great burgers ice cold beer never disappoint

The burgers are delicious and huge. This location is completely outdoors and old school.

After trying to visit the Hubcap Grill location in The Heights multiple times over the past 18 months during the pandemic and finding it closed each time, my wife and I finally tried again last night and found it open. Though based on the experience we had, it would've been better if it was closed again. I'm not sure when the best, highest performing version of this place was operating, but it definitely wasn't during this visit. And the version we experienced would never make a 'Top 10 Burger' list, be featured on a TV show, or be voted a 'Best Burger' in any city. Our visit started with awkwardly waiting outside the window to order while watching multiple employees move around inside behind the counter. When a lady did finally come open the window and ask to take our order, we were left with the feeling we were bothering her and she certainly didn't seem to be excited about having us there or helping us. Then during this rude ordering interaction, we attempted to order the fresh cut fries which are one of only a few side items offered (and usually always a primary reason any well-reviewed burger place gets it's strong reputation), but we were told "sorry, we don't have any fries right now." So let me get this processed, it's a burger place that serves fries on the side, but "we don't have any fries right now." When given this news and that frozen sweet potato fries would be our only option to pick from, we declined getting any fries at all and went with only the burgers. The drink situation is also a mess, there's apparently no drink fountain and bottled drinks are the only things to choose from - and for those that like Coke products - just forget it - bottled water, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, beer, etc. are all you have to pick from. Once we finished ordering our burgers without fries and with bottled Ozarka and Sprite, we then moved on to finding a place to sit. Finding a place to sit involves a decision to either sit outside in the elements under the covered seating area or moving inside to a small, Subway sized, depressing, dimly lit, dirty area adjacent to the kitchen - and no, of course they're not connected inside. This is the area we decided to sit in due to the cold and here we found dirty tables and small metal stools without backs waiting for us - sounds great doesn't it. So here we sipped on our bottled Ozarka and Sprite while waiting 10 minutes or so for our burgers without fries since they didn't have any. Our name was finally called over the speaker and we picked up the two burgers on Styrofoam plates - making sure to stop and get plenty of the industrial quality, bathroom style paper towels available as napkins we could only assume. As far as the burgers we finally got, they were mediocre at best - luke warm and junkyard style with hunks of lettuce core and poorly distributed vegetables. What we received were not even close to top 10 burgers, best burgers in the city, or burgers that create legends or lore. Of course we know every place has a bad day now and then, but this felt like a permanent downturn for both food and staff and there's simply no way we could choose to go back with so many other choices for a 'best burger' in the city of Houston. Though what's most disappointing is that a place like this that used to be a 'best' is now apparently operating on historic fumes and as if nothing really matters anymore.

Pretty good burger spot in a good area. Old school vibe at the place which makes sense given how long it’s been around. Parking is a bit tricky tho. Got the Philly cheesesteak burger which was pretty good and the portion was big. Good spot worth trying

The burgers are delicious with so many options and flavors and the fries had a great flavor also. They have a nice covered seating area patio to sit down at outside. Will definitely go back!

Absolutely, without a doubt, the best hamburger in Houston...all 600 square miles of the city and 10,000 square miles of the metro area. You will not be disappointed AND it's worth the drive if you aren't nearby. Consider it a destination hamburger event. The meat is the size of the bun and the bun is the size of a small plate, not too big but you will not be left hungry. The hamburger patty is the juiciest and most flavorful you'll find. You are missing out if you don't try it for yourself.

They serve the best burgers in town! Love the outdoor seating and live music on the weekends.
